Ketchikan, one of Alaska's most Southeastern cities, is the first stop for many cruises on their way to more Northern climes. A stay in Ketchikan itself can be rewarding, however, as the city is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, an area so beautiful, it is known as "The Yosemite of the North." With steep valleys formed by glaciers and lava flows left by volcanic activity, Misty Fjords offers gorgeous views of natural formations, all reflected in the calm waters of Pacific inlets.

This tour is also known as "Deadliest Catch Crab Fishermen's Tour". You can come aboard the "Aleutian Ballad" crabbing vessel as seen on season 2 of the Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch". Depart Ketchikan Alaska for a 3 hour trip to catch king crab, snow crab, octopus, fish, prawns and more. This tour also features some of the best eagle viewing on the planet. Share the allure and adventure that draw fishermen to the sea. Fishing legends that have worked the Bering Sea are your guides, some you may have seen on TV. The vessel has been retrofitted for guests comfort and fun, with a "live" tank on deck to allow for closer viewing of the wondrous creatures brought on board. Guests stay warm, dry and comfortable while we sail calm and protected waters. This is the REAL ALASKA and you won't want to miss it! Board a 14-foot inflatable boat to explore one of the most beautiful places in the Southeast Alaska Inside Passage. Feel, smell, and get up close and personal with the rugged Southeast Alaska coastlines that you marvel at from a distance on your cruise ship. As an added bonus, you may see seals, whales, sea lions, and maybe even a bald eagle on your voyage. Parties of four have their own boat (one passenger must be 25 or over to drive). Parties of two or three share with other guests. Our Zodiac Adventure is located in Saxman Native Village, which gets us out in the wild fast and allows more time on the water. We provide all necessary gear to keep you warm and dry; just make sure you wear comfortable, appropriate outdoor wear. Gear provided includes rain gear, boots, face masks, gloves, PFDs, dry bags, and safety glasses. This expedition takes place in Alaskan coastal waters, not calm lakes, ponds, or rivers. Southeast Exposure Ketchikan - Kayaking, Zipline & Zodiac Boat Tours. Welcome to Southeast Exposure. We started taking Kayaking Tours in 1986 from our home in downtown Ketchikan. Kayaks soon took over the yard. In 2005 we moved our operation north to beautiful Clover Pass, three miles from the end of the road. The protected waters here are dotted with evergreen islands. To realize our dream of having a zipline course and move the kayak tours away from the floatplanes, large boats, wind and the noise of the waters of downtown, we purchased an estate and started to renovate and add. We built a zipline course with 8 lines in the big cedars and installed transition elements as well as a zipline that zooms down to an ocean platform. We also installed an optional climbing wall with stairs to climb to the top platform. We support our Tatoosh Islands and Misty Fiords kayak tours with three vessels: Two 24’ Rigid Hulled inflatables (RIBs) and a 24’ landing craft. Our Zodiac Boatman Tour features three custom built 14’ rigid hulled boats. The kayak fleet would never fit anywhere in our two previous locations. What will you see out here in Clover Pass? Islands ringed by protected waters Seals, sea lions, eagles, intertidal life, jumping salmon, deer and possibly orcas on the hunt and transiting humpback whales.
