Informative, upbeat and fun tour with Missy.Tasted samples of three different types of brandy in a colorful tasting room with cool art. Impressed with sustainability efforts (bee hive, pollinator gardens, solar panels, repurposing of wood and waste products.) Brandy products were very good-also some gin and absinthe. The sales/distilling/ownership team seems very creative with fresh perspective on whole distilling/marketing process. Tour finishes on urban rooftop bar overlooking sections of Louisville with downtown in distance. Great two hours!

This distillery was one of the coolest places we visited during our 2.5 day trip to Louisville! Their sweet mash bourbon was extremely unique from bottle to bottle which makes them a great place to visit and taste their bourbons! The tour was perfect with just enough history and observations of their distillery. The tasting room was extremely clean and unique bars on the trail. You have to give them a visit!

We went to 9 other distilleries throughout our visit to Kentucky. OZ Tyler was our last stop and it was a great one. From the kind gentleman at the gate, friendly ladies in the gift shop, and our knowledgeable tour guide Adam, we had a wonderful experience here. Highly recommend the Honey Bourbon although all 3 OZ Tyler Bourbons were noteworthy. It’s a way off the trail but it was worth it!

Casey Jones Distillery

The legend of Casey Jones began in prohibition-era Golden Pond, Kentucky, where he built more than 250 illegal-production copper stills. AJ, Casey’s grandson, used granddad’s last work to create the still used in the distillery today, giving an extra measure of historic family authenticity to our premium distilled spirits. It’s also where you can get married, celebrate a birthday, host a corporate event, or just wander around our lake & waterfall, sit on the back deck & lose yourself in the beautiful Christian County, KY, rural countryside. Small but very neat Distillery in Lexington. Great tour guide. Their single barrel and cinnamon whiskey were tasty! We bought the single barrel and were able to fill our own bottle straight from the barrel, which is something you don’t get on tours at other distilleries, so that was very cool and made this unique! Would recommend!

Spirit offerings: 4 year old Linkumpinch Bourbon- Single Barrel Cask Strength & Small Batch 100 Proof, American Dry Gin, KY Clear, KY Apple Pie and Fruit Liqueurs (Blackberry, Blueberry, Strawberry, Peach, Raspberry). Our gift shop has DGD apparel, Linkumpinch Bourbon Truffles, drinking glassware and scented soy candles. About Us In the 1820’s, somewhere along a patch of grass at Linkumpinch Farm near present-day Franklin, Kentucky, matters of honor were settled with the firing of pistols. A man’s reputation was restored when a musket ball found its target. The area surrounding Sandford Duncan’s Farm soon came to be known as the Dueling Grounds. These days, Franklin is home to far more agreeable activities, like the crafting of premium, small batch Bourbon, aged in charred white oak barrels, to draw out a sweet, woody flavor all its own.

Our group of six very much enjoyed our visit to Castle & Key. We were trying to remain covid compliant and we felt very safe there. We were outside on their beautiful grounds, tried some of the cocktails while relaxing and sitting out on the chairs along the creek, took a walk through the grounds - enjoyed the great variety of plants and trees there. It was a wonderful afternoon and would recommend a visit to this place! Very very nice!

We went on a Saturday. We paid for the tour ahead of time, 2 adults and 1 five year old. We were immediately welcomed and made very comfortable. We did our tasting first. 4 tastings per person which is very generous. They also had juice and rootbeer for kids. The tour was very informative. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and personable. We had a wonderful time and look forward to a return visit in the future.
