Get picked from your hotel in Johannesburg driving north of the suburbs of Johannesburg towards Pretoria,while experiencing some interesting stories given by your tourist guide. Arrive at the mine for an introduction about the mine where you will get taken to the surface ground to learn about surface mining. The cullinan Diamond 3106ct was given to King Edwards the VII of England on his 66th birthday. The Diamond mine is a carrot shaped volcanic pipe and has a surface area of 42hectares-about 40 soccer pitches.
