I just loved this dam. We visited this place while returning to Bangalore from the Chitradurga fort. A very huge dam and you hardly see any crowd. Go there by evening and you can sit, relax and enjoy this picturesque landscape with water and birds around! And indeed a place for some awesome clicks???? Go explore!!!

KRS dam is one of must visit place when one is in and around Mysuru. One should visit the just after the rainy season ends, Sept to Nov is ideal time, where they open the gates and its great to watch the water gushing out of these gates, and all the credit should go to Sir M Visveshwaraiah. There is garden near by called as Brindavan which is beautiful to watch, and lot of space for parking you vehicle. Garden is filled with lots flora which are mesmersizing, there is musical fountain in the evening which is spectacular to watch. So try to reach place by 15:00 so that one get time to watch the Dam, Garden and musical fountain.

Make sure to visit TB dam during your hampi vacation. Need to park vehicle at the main gate and take a bus with minimal fare to reach damn view point. We watched sunset with light pink n grey hues which was a amazing still reflection on the back waters.. At 7PM there is a light show and it is just okay. There are few recreation activities for kids.. Easily one can spend 3 relaxing hours in the evening from 6 PM after visiting monuments from 3 PM to 5.30 PM
