Yes, definitely worth walking up to soak in the view & burn off some calories ???? Was interesting reading all the information at the top. We saw some fascinating birds too! ???? Easy parking at the bottom. From there we went to Pennington Beach which is a stone throw away.

The Frenchman's Rock Penneshaw is really attractive. However, the French landed here first and their captain wrote his name on a rock. They also built some structures. Beautiful!

It's a walking trail which will take you to beautiful spots. The old cemetery is so interesting and gives you the history of KI on the grave stones. It was a walk up to the monument but well worth it with beautiful views.

We walked to the Wiers Cove. The road was unsealed. It was fun. The first thing we saw were the ruins. This is where the light keepers slept. They also received their supplies from 1907-1930. It was quite lonely here. The best part of this trek was the lookout on the ocean and partially the island as well. We stood there for 15 minutes, enjoying everything in our view. What a great place this is!
