The Mahishasuramardini cave is part of the Mahabalipuram complex but is easily missed because it is a little way from the other temples, however it had some of the most interesting carvings. Especially superb is the panel showing Durga fighting the buffalo-headed demon Mahisha. It is worth learning a bit about Hindu Art and Architecture before visiting. The book on this subject by George Michell is great for this. This cave temple is a must.

This is a beautiful serene beach and the waters are clear too. The view especially with the morning sun is worth a million, and no one bothers you here no hawkers just you and yourself!

Again it is a part of monuments at Arjuna's penance complex. Different and nice carvings. Good photo opportunities.

I had been to this sanctuary on Feb13 and I could see lot of migratory birds. The whole sanctaury is full of painted storks,Asian open bill storks,Darters,Pelicans,Coromorants,Gre herons, Blackheaded ibis, sandpipers etc.I observed a pair of cute owls on top of the tree. There is another sanctuary near to this called kalikiri bird sanctuary and you can see different varieties of ducks which are resting on top of tree.Overall this time both the sanctuaries are excellent

Those who admire the contribution to art by various rulers, this is a great visual treat. In those days when no sophisticated tools and technologies were not available, how all these were constructed is absolutely stunning ????

Nice beach. Reminds me of Dreamland beach of Bali. It’s a touristy beach basically. Had a lunch in a restaurant with a nice sea few

I had been to Madras crocodile bank approx. 4 times....it's really worth visiting ....they also have a session where you can see different varieties of snakes...specially the poisonous ones like Russel viper...they also demonstrate venom extraction...u can also touch some of them...also, this place has a good research team which can help u if u want to learn more about crocodiles and snakes... My favorites there r two iguanas which nicely take shower sometimes. .Mr Jose...the oldest crocodile is quite giant.. Inall, this is a good place for a family visit, specially the kids...but one has to walk a lot, so may be difficult for old people... Always after visiting this place, I wish and dream....I shud get time to sleep like these crocodiles with mouth wide open...
