Things to do in Johannesburg, Gauteng: The Best Sports Camps & Clinics

November 26, 2021 Jasper Kershner

Johannesburg is the place to go to mix big-city culture, shopping, dining and nightlife with outdoor adventures, up-close wildlife encounters and visits to historical sites. Explore caves and nature reserves, or visit a traditional village by day, then enjoy dinner at a hip cafe or five-star restaurant. And if you're a shopper, bring an extra, empty suitcase. With malls, open-air markets and places that blend the two, you'll find plenty of unique souvenirs.

City Skate Tours

I grew up skateboarding in the inner city of Johannesburg and want to create a more skateboard and pedestrian friendly city! Yes, Johannesburg has a lot of stereotypes but as a skater who grew up in this city, I see it differently - skateboarding, the city and urban spaces can't be separated from each other. Having travelled to pedestrian and skate friendly cities (Berlin, Malmo & Copenhagen) I'm excited to exchange ideas on how we can make my city better for everyone - mostly skaters, haha!
