Jeonju is a true foodie paradise, so beloved for its cuisine that it’s been deemed by UNESCO as a Creative City for Gastronomy. The best way to enjoy this South Korean city is to eat your way through it, savoring hearty regional specialties like bibimbap and kongnamul gukbap. Once you’re stuffed, hike up to the Omokdae and Imokdae stone monument, or just watch athletes burn calories at the World Cup Stadium.

Hakindang is beautiful classic Korean-style guesthouse. Stayed in the separate 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for my group of 5 friends. Although not used to sleeping on the hard floors, Korean-style bedding was pretty comfortable. Owner gave us tea serving demo, tour of the house and shared history and he even gave us an hour long photo session. Great memories to keep forever~~I would recommend Jeon Ju Korean village to anyone interested in the culture and absolutely recommend Hakindang for accommodation.

If you are in Korea and miss this opportunity to visit Jeonju Hanok Village you will do yourself a disservice. Korea being a very modern country this opportunity to step into the past should not be missed. Remember though that this is a MUST see place for Koreans as well and in summer is very busy. The area with all the old buildings has a Catholic church, still in use, to the Gyeonggijeon Shrine dating back 1000 years. You can rent a Hanbok or traditional wear for the day and the roads were filled with young people dressed in these traditional garments. Every type of food is on offer and the prices are all affordable. This is a must see whilst in Korea, if you don't have the time........make the time.

Close to Nambu Market, Jeonju Cathedral and the Gyeonggijeon. Visited once in the day and passed by once at night. Worth a visit. Probably take 5-10mins taking photos and you're done.

One of the popular and best viewpoints of Jeonju Hanok Village. Omokdae, located on top of the hill but very easily accessible, is a must-go if you wish to get a bird's eye view of Jeonju Hanok Village!
