Dougga is the pinnacle of the Roman presence in Tunisia and looks out majestically over the hills. What perhaps makes it so aesthetically pleasing is its geography – perched on high, it is a picture of verdancy and her stone columns stand proudly against the green countryside. It occupies an unusual position for a Roman town because its origins date back well before the Romans, in fact, it was a Numidian stronghold and enjoyed great prosperity through Masinissa, its ruler. Bulla Regia is a remarkable Roman city, in northwestern Tunisia, near the modern city of Jendouba. It is celebrated for its semi-subterranean housing, a feature that most likely was a response to the need for protection against excessive heat in summer and the cold in winter. The experience of exploring complete, superbly preserved villas is quite incredible; Bulla Regia remains a unique Roman city in having two-storey dwellings with one floor underground.

Like an oyster, Bahrain has a rough exterior that takes some prising open, but it's worth the effort. The storied location of the ancient Dilmun empire and home to the epi-centre of the Gulf's pearling past, Bahrain has a history to reflect on with pride. Boasting its own Formula 1 Grand Prix, a growing art and foodie scene heavily cross-pollinated by Manama's huge expat population, and a wealth of activities enjoyed on the azure waters surrounding this collection of islands, Bahrain will appeal to travelers who seek an unpretentious, yet confident country bearing all the hallmarks of a modern, wealthy Gulf nation. This multilayered and multicultural destination is often overlooked by tourists, so you'll probably have the place all to yourself.

Departure to Bulla Regia (160 km from Tunis). This area is well worth a visit for its fascinating history. Here, the Romans built their villas with one floor above and below, to avoid heat. Seven villas have been excavated so far and named after the beautiful mosaics discovered within. Proceed to Dougga (65 km from Bulla Regia). Lunch at a local restaurant. Dougga houses some of the largest Roman ruins in North Africa. The tower starts with the theater during the Second Century and donated by the Gracchus family & it continues to the "Place of the Roses of Wind", the Market Place, dominated by Mercury, the god of commerce, the well preserved Capitoline Temple, dedicated To the three deities, the Forum, the Public licinius Baths & it ends with the House of Trifolium, the Cyclopes therms and the magnificent twelve-seat latrines.

our tour was excellent. Hassan was an amazing guide. On another tour, we did a small part of the medina but Hassan showed us much much more. He was very eager to please us and to attend to our interests and needs. We highly recommend. Very happy with our experience. Thank you Hassan.
- Bulla Regia was a Berber, Punic, and Roman town near present-day Jendouba, Tunisia. Its surviving ruins and archaeological site are noted for their Hadrianic-era semi-subterranean housing, a protection from the fierce heat and effects of the sun. Many of the mosaic floors have been left in place; others may be seen at the Bardo Museum in Tunis. There is also a museum connected with the site. - Dougga or Thugga was a Berber, Punic and Roman settlement near present-day Téboursouk in northern Tunisia. The current archaeological site covers 65 hectares (160 acres).UNESCO qualified Dougga as a World Heritage Site in 1997, believing that it represents "the best-preserved Roman small town in North Africa".

Often seen as simply a beach destination, Tunisia has a bucketful of surprising tourist attractions and things to do for those that venture off the sandy shores. This is North Africa wrapped up into one bite-sized package, with vast Sahara dunes, mammoth ancient ruins, and exotic cities that are home to a sprawling tangle of souks. Tunisia was Rome's breadbasket, and the cultural riches the Romans left behind are more than enough reason to visit. But the history of Arab Empires has also bestowed the country with some of the region's most beautiful examples of Islamic architecture. When you've craned your neck at Kairouan's minarets and played gladiator at El Djem, it's time to head into the Sahara to sample the raw, empty beauty of the desert. The sun-soaked beaches of the Mediterranean coastline, fringed by palms and lapped by gentle waves, will still be waiting for you when you get back.
The ancient city of Bulla Regia lived partly underground. On two levels, the most luxurious houses had patios, columns, mosaics, and carved capitals. Some had private thermal baths. its underground rooms without equivalent in the ancient world, Bulla Regia is one of the most astonishing archaeological sites of Tunisia! Next stop Beni Mtir offers impressive landscapes, whatever the season, and fills us with all the colors, offering us a peaceful feeling of tranquility. You will think that if we say that it is a corner of Paradise we are using a cliché. And yet you are not going to be disappointed. The place deserves comparison with Paradise!

The tour was amazing! We enjoyed the Medina in Tunis, walked around the market, had coffee in a traditional place and ate at a wonderful traditional place, recommended by the guide. Carthage was also exceptional with amazing roman ruins that we enjoyed and Sidi Bousaid was just magi. White houses with blue windows and particular decorations, friendly people, amazing coffee and stunning views of the city. Definitely recommended! The guide was very friendly, helpful and brought us to the nicest places. Don’t miss it!!
