Took this tour excursion through our cruise ship. Loved traveling through the country side and seeing more of Jamaica. The High Tea was really nice and then we enjoyed walking around the grounds. We could see why this place was chosen to build a home - on the top of a mountain at 1100 feet elevation with a beautiful breeze blowing all the time.

I toured the wonderful Croydon Plantation because of my love for coffee. It was one of the Carnival Cruise approved excursions. I took this particular tour while on a Caribbean Cruise with Carnival Dream in July 2014 with friends. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly Along the way she answered questions and pointed out beautiful plants, vegetation, and crops indigenous to the island. We were treated to fresh fruit grown on the plantation midway through the tour. I thought this was a particularly nice touch. But the highlight was at the end of the tour which is when we were served Jerk Chicken with island greens and a bottled water. I had an opportunity to sample freshly brewed coffee, a product of the plantation. It had a delicate distinction. Delicious! I was thrilled. There is also coffee for sale. Coffee makes a great gift from Jamaica. I highly recommend it!
