Although much of Jacksonville is urban, this sprawling northeastern Florida city also has nature and wildlife preserves, historic residential neighborhoods and lots of golf courses. Attractions in Jax, as the locals call it, range from art, science and history museums to a brewery tour, from the Jacksonville Landing entertainment complex, along the St. John's River, to Bronson Motor Speedway. The city's beaches offer soft sand and warm water perfect for swimming, surfing and kayaking.

The Jacksonville Symphony at The Jacksonville Jacoby Center considered an acoustic gem is the perfect combination for those that love and appreciate the fine arts and classical music at its best, combined with the Jacksonville Ballet is a winning combination. Invited to attend the SHIFT festival in Washington DC in March 2020 a prestigious recognition for only a handful of Symphony’s across the US.

Went to see "Grease" which was totally enjoyable. Cast was fun, talented and entertaining. Beauty School Dropout scene was tops! Food was exceptional ... hats off to Executive chef DeJuan and Sous Chef Dale. Our group each had something different and they all were excellent. The price is so reasonable for the great food and entertainment.

Attended a show here in Dec. 2019 for the first time and was totally impressed. It is a beautiful historic building that is small enough that even balcony seats have a great view. We loved it and would for sure see another show here.

At Thrasher-Horne Center, we aspire to become the premiere gathering place; the intersection of arts and commerce; the hub of community, education, and culture in Northeast Florida.
We attended the Sawyer Brown Concert at the Center. The location is east to access with ample parking and near major highways. The Theatre is very nice with up to date sound and lights. We sat is the rear of the theatre and had no trouble seeing the stage. There are really no bad seats, the back is raked at an angle that lets you see over the person in front of you. Sawyer Brown put on a great show, They played all there hit as well as covered some other songs. They had no intermission. Leaving the venue was very well handled with traffic control at the exit allowing for a quick exit to the parking lot. The only negative I have about the event is that we sat in the back WC 1 and WC 3, the security and staff were talking at the back of the auditorium by the exit and next to us during the show, I found it distracting. After looking back a few times, I believe one of the ushers got the idea and the problem was resolved. This was a good night and we plan to come back.
