Must visit spot if you are traveling with kids in İzmir. My suggestion is to start your visit as early as possible, since the animals “go homes” at around 4 pm. And definitely grab your kids stroller since the territory is huge for walking around. One more tip - you can have a lunch right there in front of the pound with swans and ducks. The one thing which was disgusting for me personally was that they didn’t put proper signs with clear indication where to head. Or maybe that might be an issue only for those with topographical cretinism. I have lost a precious time searching for giraffes ???? f.e. Please take that into account and allocate a whole day from morning for the zoo. And keep in mind that the way will take about an hour to reach there. the diversity of animals you’ll see in correlation with the ticket price is GREAT. and what’s more important is their living conditions - the animals looked happy????

The official name of this square is Atatürk Square. This square, which is one of the most important and meeting areas of İzmir, can be called the Heart of Izmir. In the middle of this square, the historical Izmir Clock Tower stands; and there are important public buildings such as Yali Mosque, First Bullet Monument, City Hall and Government House around. Here, you can feed the birds and visit the Historical Kemeraltı Bazaar at the backside. During the summer period (2019), there was a renovation work on the Clock Tower in the square and it was surrounded.

... probably has the warmest waters in Turkey at any given time. This is due to the hot springs in and around Cesme.
Truly beautiful beach with torqoise sea colors. It is too busy in high season but still clean and clear.
