We found this exceptional wine store through Trip Advisor, and Alda helped us pick out wonderful wine. She was very friendly, gave us great suggestions, and shared some of the history of the store with us. I am looking forward to drinking the bottles that we purchased here. Thank You, Alda! For your wonderful service and knowledge that you shared with us!

We had a lovely Prosecco tasting with one of the daughters. It is really nice that it is a family business and it is informal. We really liked it!

Fontechiara is a small winery located in the Northeast area of Piedmont. We produce high quality red wines, that are faithful expression of the territory as they are made with native local grapes such as the famous Nebbiolo and the ancient Vespolina. We receive tourists for tours and wine tasting together with homemade delicacies, local charcuterie and cheeses especially selected to bring out the best flavors and characteristics of each wine.
My husband and I visited Cantina Fontechiara on our last day in Italy and it was the winery we were searching for the entire time we were there. It was hard to choose our favorite because each wine was amazing and had its own unique personality. Really the “best” wine would depend on the event, the weather, or your mood. La Nonna would be great on a hot sunny day. The Vespolina would be great with pizza. Il Nonno would be great with a steak. But what really made the visit so enjoyable was Valentina. She told us about the wines, the owners, the history of the winery, and some about herself. Instead of feeling like you were at a commercial winery, it felt like we were spending the afternoon with a good friend and chatting over great wine. One of our best memories and experiences from our trip.

We are a family business winery. We wish to transmit the passion for our terroir by producing classical Valpolicella wines and being respectful of the typicalness of the Marano valley. We will welcome you in our winery and lead you in the tasting of our whole production, including our Amarone docg "CampoRocco" and the Recioto docg "CampoGerico". Come and visit us.

TONiDORO is a family - run farm that grow up their own vineyards since 1956 between the charming hills of Vittorio Veneto. Our grapes, strictly picked up by hand, become Prosecco Superiore DOCG and it is available as sparkling wine Extra Brut - Rive di Carpesica, Brut and Extra Dry. We are waiting for you! • Direct selling • Guided tours with reservation required • Wines tasting
We have come across this winery just by chance - we were in the vicinity on business and used a short break to look for a good prosecco nearby. We were impressed by friendliness of the owner Massimo, who speaks excellent English, and by the quality of his wines (especially the extra brut is wonderful, with nice minerality, good structure and very delicate bubbles)

Winetasting/winetours are available at 11:00, 15:00 and 16:30. Booking in advance is required on our website. PDC is the only Wine making farm specialising exclusively in the production of grapes and sparkling wine DOCG Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze. Four versions are produced: "Organic Cartizze BIO EXTRA BRUT", "Cartizze BRUT", "Cartizze EXTRA DRY" and "Cartizze DRY". Located in the Cartizze hills, the heart of the PROSECCO SUPERIORE territory, PDC makes it its aim to cultivate vines and make wine following the most natural winemaking practices. Organic BIO cultivation, in the vineyards all processes are carried out by hand, from harvesting to pruning, whilst keeping phytosanitary treatments to a bare minimum.
Very friendly and knowledgeable, Pietro took time (about 20 minutes) to explain his Prosecco when we showed up unannounced. Excellent Prosecco in the middle of the Cartizze region that competes very strongly with the multitude of other producers in the region. I've been visiting the area for over 30 years so I already have my favorites among the many I have tasted over the years. Pietro certainly knows what he is doing and I plan on many return visits. Driving up a long dirt road nestled between the grape vines sets a unique atmosphere that made for a better experience.

Visited Ugolini winery recently and enjoyed the lovely hospitality of Maria Giuditta who is the granddaughter of one of the key persons instrumental in developing the Ugolini winery. With an approach dedicated to organic techniques this visit allowed us to appreciate the remarkable efforts made to produce excellent wines. The indigenous grapes of Valpolicella are especially suited to the local terroir. The skill of the winemaker in blending the various grapes is what creates that magic in a bottle of Ugolini wine. Highlighted during the tour was the fascinating process of drying the grapes for the production of Amarone and Recioto. Ingeniously the common laborers of years ago took the leftover pomice from making Amarone and used it to improve the basic Valpolicella creating another great wine style Ripasso. We tasted the classic lineup including Valpolicella, Superiore, Ripasso, Recioto and Amarone. My favorite was the Ripasso with it's earthy, leathery medium to full bodied taste which begins to approach the weight and complexity of Amarone. However at the 20 Euros price point the Ripasso is a great value. The placemat used for the tasting is a nice souvenir. It is an artist's rendition of the Fumane valley depicting the Ugolini vineyards. Maria Giuditta could not have been nicer and she sang a beautiful Venetian song for my wife's birthday. 15 minutes away in San Giorgio Di Valpolicella we enjoyed a gorgeous panoramic sunset view of Lake Garda. Another great tip from Maria!
