The landscape is dramatic—even a bit moody, with the Cuillin Range in the background—but outdoorsy kids will have a blast on the Isle of Skye. Plenty of water sports are available, and you’ll also find great hiking and even pony rides. Portree, the largest town, makes a great base for exploring this striking island.

Reviews :Stewart is incredibly knowledgeable. He has an almost uncanny way of finding wildlife - probably due to his understanding of the habits and habitats of all the wildlife around. His passions shines through and he is happy to share this with others. Added to that his wife is an amazing cook so enjoy the picnic! Matt Rivers 5 star May 1, 2018 · Cracking day out with Stewart and highly recommend his services, great fun, never seen Golden Eagles in the wild before, even if it was a brief glimpse of them a couple of hundred feet above our head, but that’s nature, can’t tell it when and where to be on request. Also got to see a mother and pup Sea Otter catching and eating a Conger eel amongst lots of other wildlife and then to top the day off got to see a couple of different Pine Martins so all in all a very rewarding day out! (Home made cakes and pasties for lunch was an added bonus)

We were so lucky - we had George to ourselves! As he said himself prior to picking us up from our hotel he was easily recognisable, resplendent in his kilt. First stop was Clava Cairns, an almost mystical prehistoric burial site in a beautiful setting. Then on to Culloden where we spent time wandering the battlefield, made more emotive by seeing where various Chieftans had fallen. Then on to something completely different - the Caledonian Canal at Dochgarroch Lock before heading to the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre (and yes, we did see Nessie!) Our final stop was at the ruins of Beauly Priory. As promised it was fun and full of interesting stories. Many thanks again George!

Despite Covid-19 this tour company makes us feel very safe, they had sanitisers and a considerable social distancing inside the tour bus. Was the best way to see the highlands and their incredible landscape, our tour guide Caitlin was incredible, knowledgeable, full of energy, kind, and happy, if you take this tour make sure you ask for her as she did this experience much more memorable. The visit to Loch Ness was fantastic we had the boat trip there also a must to do!

I went on The full day tour as part of my solo trip to Skye , and it was amazing. I was given a very warm welcome by out tour guide Robert. The bus was immaculately clean , and there was hand sanitiser avaliable to use when evrer you got on the bus . There was only myself and 2 others on the tour which made it feel more like a private tour of the Island . Robert was very informative telling us the history of Skye as we went along . We visited the fairy pool first which was quite a long walk , but we were given plenty of time to explore . We then visited a broch, neist point , Dunvegan Castle , fairly glen , Quiraing, Kilt rock and finally we stopped to get a picture of the old man of storr . At each place we were given plenty of time to have a look around and take plenty of pictures . The weather was very changeable on the day however this did not retract from how beautiful The Isle of Skye is . Anyone who wants to properly experience Skye I would recommend booking the full day tour it was brilliant !

In the words of Bill Medley... "Now I've had the time of my life No I never felt like this before Yes I swear it's the truth And I owe it all to you..." I went on this incredible tour on Saturday 1st May 2021 and loved every second. Gordon and Rob's knowledge of the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye is second to none! Not only did we get a tour of the modern day Scotland that we ventured through but we also got a tour of Scotland through hundreds of years. It takes incredible skill to navigate the roads that we drove through as well as constantly describing the areas we are driving through and tell stories, jokes and play a soundtrack relevant to the area at the same time. I went away with a great deal of knowledge of Geology, History, questionable comedy and Politics. Gordon's unwavering passion and knowledge of his home country is masterful and provides you on the tour with everything you need to know about why you are there. The bus for the tour was comfortable, impeccably clean and covid measures and social distancing were at the forefront throughout the tour. I felt nothing but safe and well informed the entire tour. Wow Scotland were also able to pick me up and drop me off right outside the door of where we were staying! This tour is highly recommended and being run by a local family you know you are getting nothing but the best. Particular highlights were Eilean Donan Castle, the Quiraing, Urquhart castle and "You'll never find a Nessie in the Zoo" 11/10 and I can't wait to do another one!

Just returned from a lovely trip to the beautiful city of Edinburgh, can't wait to go back ???? During my stay I booked two 1 day tours with Rabbis. Firstly a huge thank you for running the tours with just the 2 of us, our stay had been planned around these days out so very grateful they went ahead. The Outlander tour with Lizzie was amazing as was Lizzie, she went out of her way to ensure we had a great day even though the weather was a bit liquidy! She was extremely knowledgeable about the Outlander series/locations and Scottish history in general, many thanks Lizzie. Our second tour was to St Andrews and the fishing villages of Fife with David who was fab, he was extremely helpful, flexible, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. The villages were beautiful and St Andrews was stunning, we were also fortunate enough to have lovely sunny weather. I would highly recommend both tours and guides! Kathy ☀️☔????

Scotland is a big place and with so many amazing places to explore you’ll be right to be excited about your 3 day Isle of Skye, Inverness & Highlands tour. With a guarantee of discovering new and interesting things and seeing breathtaking scenery and landscapes around every turn. You’ll see why so many movie locations were based and filmed here in Scotland, with views that inspired the likes of Harry Potter (Glenfinnan Viaduct) and James Bond (Glencoe), and more. You’ll be spoilt for choice for getting that perfect picture, especially in the Isle of Skye where many of Scotland’s myths and legends come from. See mountains created by giants, enchanted waters that will give you eternal youth, and hear songs of the faerie folk in the wind. This is a tour that will fill you with joy and leave you with a feeling that can only come from being truly immersed in the moment - something truly priceless. Going on this tour is one of the best decisions I have made. I was quite nervous to begin with as I usually travel alone but our tour guide John made us all feel welcome very quick. All of the stops and sights were so beautiful and like nothing I have seen before. The people on the tour were also very kind. Highly recommend!

Truly a one of a lifetime experience! Marita is a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide! I should also add she is a great driver, cause those Highland roads can get a bit narrow ???? The experience is very immersive, and just listening to Conquest of Paradise while driving through the Highlands is EPIC! Hope you get lucky with the weather as we did, cause all the main photo stops, the sky was clear and lighting was just perfect! ???? The views are stunning, the castles bring their own stories and mysteries and the Isle of Skye is truly another world in itself! I would like to thank the whole Timberbush Team for this ride! I can only wholeheartedly recommend to anyone!! ????????????????????????????❤️
