This place was incredible! Easy to find, super friendly staff and amazing price! Everyone was so helpful and we signed up for the 4.5 hour kayaking, and so pleased we did! This place was beautiful and easy to navigate. We were given a ride to the starting point and was assured someone would pick us up at the end and give us a ride back to the parking lot. Everything was effortless and so, so much fun! Do not hesitate to go here and spend a few hours just enjoying life!! Thank you so much for such a great day!

Welcome to Bucks Run Golf Club! Our award-winning golf course is one of Michigan's premier golfing destinations. Our Jerry Matthews' designed course boasts 18 challenging, yet playable holes, artfully sculpted fairways and tee boxes, soft sand bunkers, and more. The course also features Chippewa River frontage, picturesque lakes, and natural wetlands coming into play on numerous holes. We are also home to an 18 hole putting island, a casual fine dining restaurant, and large banquet facility. We are centrally located in Mount Pleasant, which makes for a convenient meeting location right in the middle of Michigan. We can't wait to see you at Bucks Run!
Don’t remember how my buddy found out about this Bruce or Jerry Matthews designed course because we don’t generally go 80-100 miles each way to play unless we go to a resort up north for an overnight 2 day package. Golf advisor had 100% recommended and Bucks Run web site has a great video tour of each hole which sold us on making the 175 mile round trip jaunt. Played today Saturday 10/17/20 with about 20mph west/ southwest winds and cloudy with great foliage. The gentleman on the phone who took our tee time was pleasant and even sent an email confirmation immediately. Young man in pro shop and starter were also very personable, club house very nice. My two golf buddies and I were very impressed with conditioning except for of course the aeration which made rolls untrue. But the tee time gentleman disclosed that up front so we were prepared. The layout is a great combination of plenty of woods, lakes( at least 3 holes where you can cut off as much as you want, (2nd, 9th, and 18th)a beautiful flowing river, and not too much sand or elevation change, little or no blind shots. The golf carts are great club car with gps. Besides par 3s about 4 or 5 cart path only holes,do not go away or cart will force you back in reverse. Beverage gal came around a half dozen times or so. We were chilly and bought great hot Irish coffee at the turn. This is one tough course at 6370 yards from white tees with a 137 slope. The 18th is the hardest closing hole I can remember at 447 from whites,475 from tips into a prevailing west/southwest wind around the lake par four. Would be a par 5 on most courses. We thoroughly enjoyed our round here even if it took 5 hours. The only question mark in my mind is the greens fee rates. Ok looked like $98 prime season weekend rate which I would never pay, but we paid the late fall rate of $50 ( any age) which is right at the max I am willing to pay for any course. Looking at Pohlcat( Dans?) it wasn’t much cheaper. Mt Pleasant must not have much competition because most any course high end isn’t over $40 this late in the year.Pilgrim’s run $35 any day, paid $32 Thornapple point senior, $37 senior at Ray Hearn’s Hemlock in Ludington for example. Only area of doubt but still worth 5 star rating in my book, 4.5 by golf Digest. Probably the best Matthew’s designed course I have ever played and only 20 years old, we very well may be back some day, thank you Bucks Run ! Oh by the way, the 18 hole island putting course was cool although in terrible shape

We recently visited Riverwood during a weekend birthday celebration trip focused on gambling and having fun. What an awesome bowling alley! The lanes are in spectacular condition, the electronic score keepers are easy to use, and there’s also a full bar there! Nothing not to like about this place. I want to especially mention the unbelievably kind younger gentleman behind the counter who helped us. The name on our receipt says Casey, but I’m not sure this is his name. Anyway, what a great guy he was! - He treated us like we were already friends with each other. His positive demeanor was unlike 99% of the population, which is a real breath of fresh air. He is a total asset to your business. Also want to give a shoutout to the friendly dark haired fellow who came to offer us lunch. So nice!! He was very on top of things and we can’t say enough how very much we appreciated back to back outstanding treatment at your establishment. Thank you for four crazy fun games of bowling! We haven’t bowled that much in ages. We are still talking about it, and can’t wait to come back : )
