I liked that Bill Barber Memorial Park. There were many flowers, so many that I felt I was in Hawaii. There were two waterfalls. The memorial is of Colonel Bill Barber November 281950 There was a stadium, more than a stadium. We were here we saw baseball. soccer and football. There were two playgrounds. Those kids will like that! A must see!

This is a largely unimproved area near the original Irvine Ranch Water District location Irvine that can be hard to find. On site is the Audubon Society, which has a small, informative exhibit on, you guessed it, local birds. This is an interesting stop for all ages. The reserve is a serene, long, loopy walk during which you may see many species of birds, both local and migrating. However, you may also see very few birds, as this is a natural preserve rather than a zoo. I find that just the walk is a quiet, soothing, lovely place to jar get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. I kind hate to talk about it, because I’d like to keep it a well known local secret.

I've been bringing my now 11 year old grandson since they opened. He loves this place and always finds someone to play with. Bring extra clothes as they often get wet!

The 2.8-acre Quail Hill Trailhead provides a great location to connect to southern Irvine's extensive trail network. An easy two-mile natural surface trail at the foot of Quail Hill that is open to the public from dawn to dusk. Quail Hill loop is the only wilderness trail in the Natural Landmarks that allows dogs (on leashes).

Recently, the Family and I was in the OC Area to participate in the OC Half Marathon. I utilized the OC Great Park to get mentally and physically prepared for the race. The Great Park has everything a Family needs for and outdoor "FUN" filled day (Basketball Courts, Playgrounds, Soccer Fields and of course TONS of running room!
