Despite the brisk fall breeze, we absolutely enjoyed our alpine ride and ski lift. The autumn trees were gorgeous!

Four Lakes ski area is a hidden gem. It's a very good place to try out winter sports. The slopes are not intimidating at all. Great place for first timers. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. The staff are energetic and personable. Definitely a very affordable place to get started on winter sports or to hone snow skills. Lift tickets are a steal and you can even get cheaper tickets online. Don't forget your helmets, there is a $3-$5 discount if you mention you have a helmet. Parking is free and plentiful. Even on their busy days, the lines are not very long. Don't expect a magic carpet. It's only tow ropes. It does get tiring after a while, but the rides are short to the top. The cafeteria area is sufficient for families and there is the more serious bar for the adults. Go and try out Four Lakes, you won't regret it.
