Having walked through the majestic main courtyard of the Royal Stables, you enter a disarming place of luxurious simplicity.Founded in 2003 by Bartabas inside the Royal Stables of the Palace of Versailles, the Academy of Equestrian Arts is a very unique corps de ballet. The originality of this equestrian choreographic school-company is, that it combines both transmission of equestrian knowledge and practice of other disciplines such as fencing, dance, singing and Kyudo (traditional Japanese archery). Equerries therefore gain a true artistic sensibility, enabling them to develop their own repertoire. Through Les Matinales des Ecuyers, dressage lessons performed by the Academy’s riders with their mounts, demonstrating precision, rigor and gentleness of training, the public is invited to enter the intimacy of the Academy. The performance La Voie de l'Ecuyer, choreographed by Bartabas reflects the daily work of this company-school.

Founded in 1253, this venerable university, one of the world's oldest, has a long and storied history of academic greatness.
Set in the middle of the Latin quarter, the classy Sorbonne is one of the oldest and most famous universities in the world. Due to Christmas holidays it was closed so we couldn't enter it, just wandered around and admired the grandeour and beauty of the edifice.
