Dogsledding proved to be a fabulous holiday experience for my wife and two adult children. The dogs were really amazing, they seemed so anxious to run and were undeterred by the snow and weight of the sled and riders. The trail was beautiful, the clubhouse was nice enough, and the people were friendly and seemed genuinely interested in providing a great experience, although we got a late start. Sledding... We were in a group of about 10 two-person sleds (one stands in back with the other siting in front (you can change about halfway through). The dogs basically know the way and pull your sled along a nice trail. Generally, you don't need to do too much except brake, which is not always easy as the dogs want to run and the icy ground makes it difficult for the spikes to hold (adding a little adventure). We didn't realize it at the start (looked normal to us) but one of our dogs got on the wrong side of the line and kept pulling us to the right (like a misaligned car) and pulled us off the path and into the trees (just once, but with a few other close calls). I was getting quite the unexpected workout as I kept having to jump off and run in order to steer it back to the middle of the path. This continued until a guide came by and got the dog lined up correctly... it was smooth sailing from there. My 20-something kids were on the sled behind us and described the experience as "the best thing ever." Except for our alignment issue, I'd have to agree. It's well worth the price and short trip from Quebec City to the Isle of Orleans to experience this unique adventure. We rented a car in the morning and drove to Montmorency Falls, a 20-min drive located near the entrance to the bridge to the Isle of Orleans. We stopped for a very nice lunch at Resto Pub L'O2 L'île located on the Isle of Orleans on the way to Mi Loup (reservation recommended), then continued to Mi Loup (another 20 minutes). It made for a great day.

We took the express tour with Oliver & Claude as our guides. It was easy to find near the top of the Funicular. It started raining so Oliver let us on the bus a little early but it stopped as the tour started so we all went to the top deck. I would recommend taking this tour early in your stay to get a good orientation of the city and then you can see some of the places that might interest you to visit later.
