What a wonderful stop. Came across this winery by chance and stopped for a tasting. I loved their Farmer and Frenchman 2019 white blend.

The Goderich BIA Farmers’ Market operates on Saturdays throughout the summer from 8:00 a.m. to NOON in three mini market locations. One on the south street fountain plaza in Courthouse Park, one on Montreal Street in the Festival Plaza and one on South Street next to the Livery Theatre. Baked goods, fruits, and vegetables, homemade jellies and jam, fresh meat and so much more - bring a basket. This year due to Covid 19 we are limiting visitor numbers through the market to 10 at a time. Kindly respect the physical distancing measures; customers are asked to minimize their time shopping at the market, there is not eating or sampling this year. Downtown Goderich hosts a vibrant community core with shops, restaurants, theatre and more! Visit www.goderichbia.ca for a complete directory of what is available in our downtown!

Great Sunday! What a great place for an afternoon of fun. We went here with another couple and sat out on the grassy area. We each did a tasting and enjoyed many of the wines and the cider. We packed a picnic lunch and brought it with us to enjoy at the table. There were tents with tables/chairs underneath and also tables and chairs in the sun so it is possible to go on a drizzly day :)

This place was a very nice surprise. We came to Bayfield for the day, just looking to have lunch and drink some good beer. We stopped in for a flight here and were very happy that we did. When you drive onto the property you pass all the hops hanging in the fields on either side of the road, then as you get up to the little barn when they serve you your beer, you see many picnic tables to your right in the field to sit and enjoy a cold bevy. There is also a small fenced area that has a small horse and goats grazing outside. There could be more animals too that we didn't see. It was really nice to drink our beer and watch them and enjoy nature. What we loved about this place is that they have a variety of different beer on offer, including something amazing we have never tried before: beer slushie!! They had 2 different kinds of beer slushie. The first was a "Funky Monkey Banana", and the one we had was called "River Road Orange", which was their Pale Ale mixed with orange slushie. Man we couldn't believe how good it was. The Zesty Farmer mexican style pale ale was very good as well. We also tried the Honey Brown Ale and it was an interesting taste. We enjoyed the fact that they sell Local Maple Syrup here as well, some of it made here right on sight! We bought some and it is absolutely delicious! A huge bottle for $20 When we come back to Bayfield in the future we will visit River Road again!
