My 2 friends and I went on the beginners Spring Tour 2019 for our first trip to Japan. We loved it and can't wait to go back! Becky and Shawn are awesome. They were so down to earth, helpful and very knowledgeable. I also really liked that the tour group is small. It allows you to get to know your fellow group members and ensures personal attention from your guides. We saw so many large tour groups at tour sites and they looked a little chaotic, it made me happy we chose a small group. The accommodations were always clean and comfortable and located perfectly. Food was amazing!!! If you are willing to try new things you can have an amazing gourmet experience. The events and locations that Becky and Shawn chose were top notch and we got to experience all different modes of transportation while there.

The flexibility to chose locations that suited our wants and abilities was great. Hiro San was very quick to put together an itinerary that accommodated a family with a stroller-baby (no monkey park due to long unpacked walking paths). Taking in the beautiful temples and view of the Kyoto from the west was breath taking and the guide was able to explain many things we as new Japanese learners could not read or know through cultural knowledge. Overall a great experience, a wonderful and lively guide, and some great memories.

Born and raised in Kanazawa. Spent 6 years in the U.S. for school and work so If you speak English...or Japanese then do not worry about the communication! I am a certified English guide in Kanazawa, who is enthusiastic about food and drinks! Prefers small and friendly Izakaya bars where locals gather. Knows a lot of tiny places where only 7 - 10 seats are available and filled with regular local customers. Are you looking for a night feeling like a local? Then here you go! You found me!! I guarantee you that this tour will show you the true local nightlife that you cannot experience without a true local guide!!
Inclusions: Includes one drink per person with seating charge for each bar we visit
Exclusions: You must order at least one dish per bar to respect the business and nightlife culture in the area.

Enjoyed a night tour of the geisha district with Aya as our guide. It was informative and interesting and Aya took us to a great restaurant where we had our first taste of oden noodles. We really enjoyed the experience and the knowledge of our guide. Thank you Aya Howard and Sue
