Hokkaido (北海道, Hokkaidō, literally "Northern Sea Circuit") (Japanese: [hokkaꜜidoː] ( listen)), formerly known as Ezo, Yezo, Yeso, or Yesso, is the second largest island of Japan, and the largest and northernmost prefecture. The Tsugaru Strait separates Hokkaido from Honshu. The two islands are connected by the undersea railway Seikan Tunnel. The largest city on Hokkaido is its capital, Sapporo, which is also its only ordinance-designated city. About 43 km north of Hokkaido lies Sakhalin Island, Russia, whereas to its east and north-east are the disputed Kuril Islands.

What an amazing place! Massive wave pool separated into various sections where you can swim, play, walk a tight rope and SUP. There are also a number of hot spas which we also enjoyed. The facilities are clean, the lockers are numerous and easy to use, there are inflatables to use, plenty of sun loungers and a couple of cafes. It was a wonderful respite from skiing! There is a regular bus service from the nearby resorts. Many of the hotels offer complimentary passes to Mina Mina as well.

No visit to this unforgettable walk through the culture and history of chocolate would be complete without a snack in the Chocolate Lounge.
This is definitely a must-see for everyone - tourists and locals! Visited the park with family. Pros: 1) Its a mini wonderland of sweets, pocket gardens, and amazing afternoon show for kids. 2) The short walk from the train station to the park was cool and relaxing, approximately less than 15 minutes. 3) The factory tour was educational plus they give you a piece of the original biscuit for free! 4) The souvenir shop was wonderful - all sorts of Shiroi Koibito food and novelty items, plus the candy factory was also there! Can shop till you drop! 5) Toilet was impeccably clean, like Japanese toilets always do. 6) The park has enough seats to those who just want to relax, the ice cream shop was the best - imagine Shiroi Koibito in a cup plus hot chocolate! 7) You can bring home a photograph of you and your family - taken with the park's online camera. 8) Nice to go there after lunch because of the show in the afternoon. Perfect to watch it with lights. Cons: 1) During late afternoon around 5pm, small insects appeared in the park and all the way until the train station. Not sure if its because of the season. It was quite annoying considering we had a toddler with us. We had to walk faster to the train station.

Absolutely fantastic - huge resort with everything under 1 roof. Husband didn’t ski but did not feel a minute of boredom in the 7 days we were there compared to tomamu where we went last year. No crowds or queues and the slopes were so wide - great if u are a beginner like me afraid of being hit by people skiing down the slopes . So many gondolas to take u to different slopes to try out and even some for people who didn’t Ski, like hubby - expanse of beautiful countryside to view from the gondolas . My 10 year old loved it so much especially the ski school which was reasonably priced . Amusement arcade, workshops and gorgeous outdoor onsen made the days fly past so quickly! Only down point was there were no adult group classes in English so I was forced to take a one on one class which was really expensive . We are considering going again next Xmas .
