Vietnam's bustling largest city sets the cultural and economic pace for the country. The former Saigon boasts charming French colonial architecture and wide boulevards, usually thronged and choked with traffic. Taxis are an option for seeing the sprawling city. The War Remnants Museum shows the Vietnam War through Vietnamese eyes. Don't miss the impressive Jade Emperor Pagoda. Go to the frenetic Ben Thanh Market for food, flowers or frogs. Tour through the Mekong Delta, past rice paddies and houseboats.

Nguyen Thien Thuat apartment buildings have existed for about half of the century. Most of the people who have been living there do not want to leave their familiar living place. Some of them have been neighbors since the Vietnam War.

I ve been there many times, and its always nice around there, its like the former Khao-San Road of HCMC! You have plenty of restaurants, bars agencys to plan further trips, and nightclubs to hang out in the evening. You also find a Motorbikedealer to sell you one, or rent you one. Like to come back again !

The western part of the city is dominated by Cholon (Chinatown), a thickly settled district rife with teahouses and pagodas and the famous Binh Tay Market.
Massive markets, crowded, bustling, colourful, cramped.....but so much fun. Myriad stalls of every conceivable produce, grains, fruit, spices, dried seafoods. Many different sections to address diverse needs. Don't miss the section for cooking utensils. While essentially for bulk purchase, they will sell individual items. Picked up some fantastic stainless steel steamers and great Chef's knife at ridiculous prices.
BLANC is a fusion space of art from young artists, books and cafe Curated contemporary art of all forms, music, selected book tittles and tasty beverages.
