Many of the wine estate owners have set apart tracts of their land as part of a conservancy to create corridors within the region that protect the indigenous fynbos. What a fantastic experience! We travelled to Hermanus for a girls weekend amidst the Covid 19 drama (obviously before lockdown was even announced), we really considered canceling but it was the best decision to go! Gillian and Ralph were exceptional hosts from the initial booking. They were able to accommodate our specific requests without any complaints. Their knowledge of the area and plant life on our walks were amazing. The whole trip was a once in a lifetime experience, we visited stunning wine farms, walked through the most beautiful surroundings and ate like absolute kings (or queens in our case). Even though our plans changed daily with new rules implemented for Covid 19, they were able to roll with this and change around things to make sure we still had a fabulous time. I will highly recommended this trip to anyone that loves wine, lives nature and just likes experiencing the best our country has to offer.

Ride along perfect white beaches of the Walker Bay Conservancy and whale sanctuary which is arguably the best land-based area in the world to watch whales (whale watching capital of the world from June to December – whales and their calves often come within meters of the coastline). Admire these magnificent creatures and their “aquabatic” displays, splashing, crashing and blowing, breaching, lobtailing, spy-hopping and sailing close to shore.
Inclusions: Horse, Helmets, Guide

Absolute highlight of our trip! We had a fantastic time on the Whale Whisperer boat and all staff made this an unforgettable experience! This trip was a wedding present for our friends who just got married a few days before. We were welcomed by friendly staff when we arrived at the restaurant and then given an interesting intro into the day. After that we walked over to the marina and boarded the boat with the skipper, marine biologist and an animal spotter. We were quickly rewarded with spotting a large group of bottlenose dolphins, then penguins, seals and a couple of sharks. Unfortunately no whales but the Southern Right migrated already. All staff cared for us perfectly throughout the trip and made us feel very welcome. We would recommend this to everyone, great for all ages.
