Hello, I’m Bertrand Bosc. I’m a guide in the Pic-Saint-Loup area, near Montpellier. Together, we will explore the terroir, the wine, and the gastronomy of course, but also the less noticeable details, the little things that make this place so special to me. I also design, produce and host custom events in domains around Montpellier.

Of the many great houses and wine estates in the Pézenas area, few can match the charms of the Seigneurie de Peyrat. Today, (a family-run business) the estate covers 200 hectares, with 120 hectares of vines, olive trees and guarrigues. Famous grape varieties such as syrah, grenache, carignan, merlot, cabernet, cinsault and pinot noir are used for the red wines, followed by sauvignon, viognier, colombard, vermentino and chardonnay for the white ones. All grapes have been selected and are blooming on this fabulous terroir (clay and limestone / villafranchien soils). Respecting environment and searching for high quality; this is our daily guideline. You will be welcome here to visit our castle, its chapel and also our cellar. (on appointment)If you want to buy or taste our wines, the cellar is open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 until 18:00.
We spent a wonderful afternoon trying 8 different wines: whites, rosé, reds and one sparkling. These are accompanied with some delicious local produce of cheeses, olives and chutneys. Great value at only €19. Cecile and Lucy were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and made it so enjoyable and relaxing. This chateau is perfect for social distancing with secluded tables in a spacious, shady courtyard. We had a wander around and found a beautiful, old chapel and stunning views. Do not miss out - you won’t be disappointed!

There's an unknown Languedoc. There are still in some places, between the Mediterranean and the mountains, magical places to discover. If you are a wine lover, and even a novice, simply curious, the Languedoc is a wild land that gives magical sensations. To visit the Mas du Novi is to open your eyes to a breathtaking panorama. On one side the beauty of the Etang de Thau, caught between two reliefs, Sète and Cap d'Agde, in front of the Mediterranean stretched to the horizon. On the other, on the opposite side, the plain of the Hérault bordered by the Cévennes, often covered by a thick coat of grey clouds. The Mas du Novi overlooks the Abbey of Valmagne of which it was an outbuilding in the 12th century. If the revolution erased this part of its history, a small medieval chapel and a calvary on which is engraved "Siste and Ora Viator": Traveller, sit down and pray. In one piece, the vineyard, cultivated in Organic Agriculture, shares the property with woods and garrigue.
Excellent selection of wine in a beautiful location in the south of France. Highly recommend this place. Stuff is extraordinary.

Historical tour : travel through time, visit the 12 thcentury chapel, the chateau built in 1202 by the Viscount of Pezenas, William of Pezenas. Not forgetting the royal dovecote with more than 150 nesting boxes, that dates from the 15th century and served as an indication of the estate's wealth. In the winery, discover the secrets of a traditional vinification method that respects the fruit and the characteristics of the grape varieties. Guided, interactive tour, during which any questions are welcome. Tasting; the most popular part of the tour... We encourage a genuinely shared tasting experience, in which people talk about the wines. Our objective is to help visitors understand the wine and what we try to achieve. Essentially, it is an introduction to tasting, a convivial, interactive occasion at which visitors are encouraged to express their feelings about the wines.
This was great. The guide was really informative and enthusiastic about the history of this marvelous building. In addition we learned a lot about the wine making process, followed by an excellent and generous wine tasting with plenty of information about all of the different wines. The tour was given in both French and English. I would strongly recommend it.
