This morning hiked Bearwallow Mountain Trial with my two dogs. It was a great hike...just enough exercise and exertion. The dogs liked it too. Just wish it wasn’t so foggy so we could see the view from the summit. Great day anyway.

There are some areas with steep incline. I would personally call this medium difficulty. Those who don’t hike or walk often will find it slightly strenuous. Definitely worth it for the beautiful views of all three waterfalls.

Shoal Creek Horseback Riding

My wife and did the 4 hour ride in March of 2020. It was absolutely great. Kyle is a great guide and was very informative about Dupont Forest and its history. The ride was so good we went back in June of 2020 with our granddaughter and a close friend from Germany. Once again, the ride was fantastic. Kyle was wonderful. I have ridden quite a bit and it is easy to tell when the horses are well cared for and love what they do. Such is the case here. I highly recommend.

Excellent in every way. The views, the staff, the carts, the tee boxes, the greens, fairways all head and shoulders above most other WNC courses. Their fairways are like most other's greens. Enough of a challenge for average golfers, only thing I disliked are some greens are way too much of a challenge when it comes to stopping your ball, some are designed so that if you miss you're off the green and down the mountainside. DIsregard reviews about not maintaining prevention and protection from Covid. They do a fine job with that , it's just that their not stupid puppets, they do what makes sense ! Let's keep this one a secret, I like going there and not having people at my back with hands on their hips and having to wait on others in front of me. It's right up there with Maggie Valley in my opinion.
