The Kallio Library is a branch of the Helsinki City Library. It is located next to the Bear Park in the Kallio district. This red brick building from 1912 is the fourth oldest library building in Finland. The Art Nouveau interior is very striking and very different from what you could expect from outside.

It is a very beautiful library both because of its architecture and its impressive collection of books.

Had the pleasure of visiting the Helsinki University Library on a walking tour of the city, and it was the one stop I wish we could have spent more time to wander and soak in the amazing architecture. If I had a free afternoon, I would love to just settle in here and read or listen to music.

Visiting Oodi was one of the best experiences that I had in Helsinki. I'm sure you can't find any similar library! I can stay here all day long doing different kinds of things: reading books, having a cup of coffee or even playing games! What I like about Oodi is that no matter what your purpose is, there is always a suitable space for you.
