David was a great driver, very nice and friendly. Everything was very pleasant and easy: We met at the hotel lobby. At the Great Wall David helped us to buy the tickets and gave useful recommendations. He waited for us while we visited the wall. Next time we will definitely contact him again.

We hadn’t realized that sleeping on the Great Wall in a tent is possible before we found this agency. We started in early afternoon and it just took us around 1 hour and a half to get to the foot of the Great Wall. The Great Wall itself looks amazing, with one part streching into the water!!! Just seeing the great wall gives you a profound sense of its history and how the past is still standing to experience today! My friend and I carried the bags by ourselves and hiked for about 1 hour before we got to the camping place (we’re both are very energetic). We stopped several times on half way as the sun was very scorching in the afternoon. You should carry your own camping equipment for sure. The camping place is a big flat ground (should be the top of one tower) and you could see everything around! We didn’t see any other traveler or tourist at all. Our guide Zach was a very interesting man, with a lot of knowledge about China’s culture and history. We really talked a lot about almost everything in the evening! And Zach spoke perfect English! I really want to come back and do this tour again next time! It’s really worth your effort and money!

Enjoy a once in a lifetime experience by taking a full-day hiking tour along the wild section of the Great Wall. Starts from the Simatai West to Jinshanling, a beautiful and less-crowded section. Hike on the original and unrestored Great Wall might be a little challenging, but the desolate beauty and great photo opportunities are worthy of your effort. This is a Mini Group with maximum 6 guests, escorted by a professional and experienced English-speaking guide. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included. No shopping detours, no factory, no tea ceremony and no shopping site restaurant, which at least save you two hours today for a pure sightseeing experience. That's the reason why you can have more time at the Great Wall. This tour are running for guests' interests rather than the shopping commission.

FEEDBACK: "I just wanted to say that I had such an amazing time on the great wall with this tour! I was a bit nervous I wouldn't like it, due to my experience with a tour group on Mt. Fuji. But, I absolutely loved this group and how the tour was set up. If I ever find myself in Beijing again I'm definitely going on another tour with you guys." -- Lauren, USA, toured on August 15, 2019

A great day from start to finish. The driver, Mr. Wang, arrived on time and we set off. He was a safe driver who got us to the first spot quickly and easily. Our guide at Gubeikou was patient and very friendly. She showed us around and allowed us to choose the route we wanted to take. Seeing the old wall here, in its natural condition, was really a cool sight. Between hikes Mr. Wang was even kind enough to buy us a snack. The second spot, Jinshanling, was equally beautiful and even more breathtaking. Communication before and during the trip was fantastic. A really awesome day that we'll certainly not forget! We would 100% do a tour with Great Wall Adventure Club again!

John was amazing. We had planned to hike from Jiankou (the wild wall) to Mutianyu (restored wall). We'd heard great things about it. When we arrived at our hostel, we heard there had been issues with locals preventing tourists from hiking in the area. We were disappointed to say the least. After some research, we stumbled upon John's information. He was exactly as advertised - professional, on time, thoughtful. I can't recommend him enough. He truly went above and beyond what he advertised for the tour. He provided detailed hiking information, a local phone in case something came up, bottled water, and hiking poles. Using him to hike the wild wall helped me feel completely at ease. He also gave us back up plans if we ran into any unforeseen issues. At the end, he gave us some free advise on the Forbidden Palace. Thanks John Katy and Avi

This tour was amazing! I wish I could remember my driver's name, because he was wonderful. It was absolutely freezing outside,.and thankfully our driver had jackets for us. Additionally, he gave up bananas and oranges to snack on, as well as bottled water. He walked us through so that we knew exactly where to go, and even had us pose as a group and took pictures for us! By request, we were picked up at our hotel, and then dropped off at the airport to make our flight. With limited time, we were able to see the Great Wall of China, grab some food, and catch our flight. I highly recommend this tour!

I am writing the review on behalf of a friend and his wife, i booked the Mutianyu Great Wall tour for them on 06 May, they had a wonderful experience with tour guide Miss Anna Zhang, pick-up was on time and tour service was excellent. Thank you for the professional travel arrangement.
If you want to see the exquisitely built tombs of the Qing emperors and a less visited section of the Great Wall, this private day tour might be the best choice. The Eastern Qing Tombs is the largest, most complete and best preserved imperial tomb existing in China. Also, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside of Beijing en route. The section of the Great Wall you will see is Huangyaguan Pass; it was first built during the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-557) and repaired extensively during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) under the supervision of the most famous Ming General Qi Jiguang.
Inclusions: Hotel pick-up and drop-off, Transportation by air-conditioned vehicle, Golf Cart for the Tomb, Experienced English-speaking guide, Chinese lunch, Mineral water, Entrance fees
Exclusions: Gratuities (Optional)
The best tour! Dana, our tour guide, know so much history about all the places we visited. She was attentive and patient. These places are a must see in Beijing. I definitely recommend her .
