The museum Saint-Raymond, preserves and enhances an archaeological site that is among the largest in France.Push its doors to discover the Roman town of Tolosa, the sculptures of the villa Chiragan, the remains of a necropolis from late antiquity.
Close to Saint-Sernin Basilica you’ll notice this brick-built medieval building. The collection organized on three floors shows many sarcophagus in the basement from the antiquity to the Christian Era. The first floor is fully dedicated to the artefacts found in a villae from Martres-Tolosane (50 km South of Toulouse) and the second floor gives an overview of pre-Roman and Roman period, until the establishment of the Wisigoth kingdom. This kingdom (418-507) is the topic of a wonderful temporary exhibition. 8€ for the exhibition and the permanent collection.

Since 35 years, the association Ailes Anciennes Toulouse saves and rebuilds a unique collection of aircraft (airplanes, helicopters, gliders and engines). Our collection, which is among the largest in France, has been collected and is maintained by a team of passionate and dedicated volunteers.
Fantastic museum with old aircraft. Although they are quite packed on a relatively small area, you can walk everywhere and touch all of them. Even in the hangar. No fences or whatever between you and the planes. The museum also renovates old aircraft on site. All done by volunteers and aviation enthusiasts. Entry for adults only 6 euros. If you are really interested in info on the planes on display they can provide a selfmade folder with a map. Both in French and English. Very useful. Staff very helpful and true aviation lovers. Small gift shop on site. Parking free. The aeroscopia museum is adjacent to the parking lot as well.

How and where to discover the story of the canal du Midi and the Pierre-Paul Riquet life. He's the designer of the canal.
atypical, impressive: there are many adjectives to qualify the castelet. This fort-like site was the gateway to the saint-michel prison for 150 years. today converted into a place of memory, the castle is now the voice of the rich history of the prison.
