Spent about an hour in this amazing little museum. Really interesting learning about the history of Te Aroha. The lady at the Museum was very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend a visit there.

A central gathering place where local residents and visitors come to experience Waipa's history, art, ideas and culture.
Te Awamutu Museum is a small Museum that packs a punch, it has galleries discussing early Maori habitation of the area, early Maori and European contact, and gives a clear timeline of how events in the Waipa were shaped. It gives a clear and concise view of the Waipa district over a broad range of time. Plus they have a mezzanine floor with kids crafts and activities, and a beautiful book corner.
