Visited Zamm again since I feel my energies are so dispersed lately and can't quite find my center. I was pleasantly surprised at how in depth and how enlightening she is. Zamm took the time to carefully explain every facet and minute detail of my reading. I thought maybe 15 mins was all-turned out to be an hour's worth of genuine sincerity and empathy, and a lot of enlightenment and encouragement. she definitely helped lift a huge load of my shoulders and helped me find my center and refocus. Thank you Zamm for treating me like an old friend!

Olivo

A working olive grove, one of the oldest in New Zealand with a purpose built olive oil tasting room.

Reviewed By Red2explorer

Most people go to Matinborough for the vineyards but thia hidden gem is also worth a visit. The hosts gave us a lovely tour of the grove, explaining all about olives, harvesting, the different varieties and many more. At the end of the tour we watched a short video about the pressing of the olives and then proceeded to taste a variety of oils. Thanks to Olivo we now know what to look out for when buying or tasting olive oil, and what each type really means. They also have olive oil soap which I can't wait to try!

Fragrifert Parfumeur, the Victorian Perfumery

Fragrifert Parfumeur, The Victorian Perfumery, is a mini-museum and perfume emporium all in one. All perfumes are made by me, Francesco van Eerd, and are created using time honoured techniques and with a high percentage of natural materials. Just as they would have been made one hundred years ago. Where nature allows, I even distill my own materials. I welcome you to visit for yourself the fragrant excitement that is Fragrifert Parfumeur, at the Top of the Cable Car!

We’ve found this place whilst visiting a coffee shop at the top of the cable car. We walked in and were totally fascinated by the smell and the sight. Beautiful period setting, very attentive host who is happy to share his passion for perfumes with visitors, and new and exciting smells. Yes, we’ve bought perfumes to remember this place by and I would recommend anybody to go and see and smell for yourself! You will not be disappointed!

This is the BEST place in town to come and get your taonga or your real NZ souvenirs with the BEST price. Lovely staff - that are knowledgeable and friendly and go out of their way to help you find that perfect piece for any occasion, or just for yourself. Located on the water front, grab a coffee and take your time browsing in this lovely little shop - you won't find a better deal anywhere else in town. I get all my gifts there - for birthdays, farewells at work, Christmas and whenever I am travelling overseas to take to family and friends. I myself, have several pairs of paua earrings and greenstone pendants. I love this place!

Martinborough Wine Centre

Reviewed By Evoorua - Auckland Central, New Zealand

Great one stop shop for all the local delicacies, including wine from Martinborough and Gladstone. It has a brilliant selection of Extra Virgin Olive Oils, from within Martinborough and nearby Ruakokoputuna, and most weekends there is a tasting of either wine/Olive Oils or if you are lucky both. This is a great shop to visit, I have found the staff very friendly and helpful....Oh and you can hire bikes from here at a very reasonable price.

New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts Academy Galleries

Reviewed By LandC46 - Auckland, New Zealand

We have to agree with every other favourable review and we are so pleased we visited. After a number of disappointments at Te Papa and the forlorn Portrait Gallery (maybe not their fault - their collection is shamefully small) we encountered some really interesting art and a small exhibition. We also treated ourselves to an unexpected, modestly priced watercolour which we found in the excellent shop. It’s possibly the only thing that would have us return to Wellington!
