Grotto Point Lighthouse Walk

Reviewed By mrdom

Grotto Point is down a side track from the Spit to Manly walk - unmarked but a developed track that you can spot if you look. It's an interesting lighthouse in a great spot out on the harbour. You can even get down on the rocks. Also note that another track to Washaway Beach runs off this track.

Dee Why Headland walk

Reviewed By JElliot32 - New South Wales, Australia

Recently took on the coastal walk from Collaroy to Manly and while the whole trek was a pleasure, to me the clear highlight was the section around Dee Why headland. This section is bookended by two truly beautiful rock pools - Dee Why and North Curl Curl. In between the pools you will experience some stunning views of the Northern Beaches coastline and the wide blue ocean. The narrow path takes you through dense thickets of coastal heath- and bushland (in which gnarled old banksia trees abound). We walked midweek and while we did not have the path to ourselves, other walkers were relatively scarce. And you quickly forget you are just a few kilometres from downtown Sydney.

The Rock Lookout

Not far from Penrith, the Rock Lookout is in the historic Mulgoa Valley. For superb views of the Nepean River simply follow the short track 200m to the Rock Lookout.

Reviewed By 760peterc

Just a short drive south of Penrth is this hidden gem. Spectacular vistas and breathtaking views of this section of the Nepean River await you if you're prepared to venture to this quiet and somewhat isolated area near Mulgoa. From the car park it's only a short walk to the lookout and well worth the effort ... ... there you'll be rewarded with the peace and tranquility of this beautiful area

Wonderful place to go whale watching (there is a viewing platform) or just enjoy the view. Fantastic place to take photos with natural bush land surrounding the walkways and great sandstone clifftops.

If your in the Sydney region make the effort to go to the lookout. It gives great views of the Sydney water reservoir and you will be amazed at the view. If out that way on weekends go to the Heritage Centre at The Oaks for a great insight in the history of the area
