Burden Park

Reviewed By GavinMandrelle - Melbourne, Australia

This park has it all - slides, swings, spider web swing, flying fox, sand pit, obstacle courses, tables to sit and eat snacks, plenty of hiding areas for your child. Opposite McDonald's Noble Park - great for a snack on the way home.

Central Gardens

Reviewed By 619jeffry - Essendon, Australia

Central Park's best known feature among the younger set is the Rocket, which is a great adventure to climb; it also has an extra-long slide. The gardens have lush foliage, meandering paths and 'green rooms' for photography. Since they were established in 1900, the gardens have had their ups and downs, but they remain one of Hawthorn's favorite places; the gardens can be hired for functions.

Dendy Park

Reviewed By Aceprchick - Mornington Peninsula, Australia

I love the Dendy park walking area as it is so dog friendly. There is an excellent amount of off-leash area so both doggies and humans can get some exercise and the socialising aspect for dogs is excellent. It’s great to be able to throw a ball for your dog on a large oval as well, very good exercise area.

Namatjira Park

Reviewed By platypus150 - Melbourne, Australia

It seems to have everything and for all age groups. There is a bowling club, football oval, tall trees, wetland lakes with waterbirds, gym equipment, public toilets, a children's playground, an under cover BBQ/picnic area, drinking fountains, and both on-leash and off-leash dog areas. Walking and cycling paths are there, too, as is on site car parking. Many come here, just to have a lunch break.

Dorothy Laver Reserve

Lovely walk to escape the nearby freeway Nice park with wetlands that often fills up when there is lots of rain around. Every suburb should have a park that suits a variety of purposes such as Dorothy Laver
