The weather has picked up,i hate walking in the rain,so after setting off from Chadderton,I'd decided on Tandle Hills. It takes me just over an hour of walking to get there, from Royton, Rochdale road looks so long, then you turn onto Tandle Hill road & that's another long walk,it may have been cold, but by now i've warmed up. Reaching the gates,my final goal was the monument up at the top, this looks out all across Oldham,Rochdale,Manchester & a far, especially on a good clear day.(this wasn't one) Then it's only one way & that's down,i took the steps, careful when wet, when you reach the bottom, still a few different ways to go. On this occasion while i was heading back,i had two deer run out in front of me,i never knew they were up there.. Making my way back, plenty of others walking & using the park. There is a cafe, with outdoor seating, but today it was closed, take your own it's probably cheaper.. Overall at this current time it's a place to let your problems & thoughts blow in the breeze.

Great local park. The size is not apparrent as you approach. Wonderful natural woodland, unspoilt and allowed to develop as nature intended. Quite a climb up the hill but well worth it.

Great park with a lot of improvements over last few years , tarmac path around perimeter with length markers for keep fit, updated kids playground, outdoor gym equipment, newly landscaped river bank along with a small cafe. Plus great views of steam trains along edge of park

COVID safety is excellent.Very consciencious staff .Don’t know why it has to close after only being open a few days .Very safe environment and a lot of money has been spent making it so safe .Children need these places especially at this time of year.

Hidden away with parking difficult but well worth a visit. It has lovely grounds and nice water. In the summer there are lots of acitivities but you can walk round and enjoy the environment even in winter. Well worth a visit.

Play Factore is the UK's leading indoor family entertainment arena. The state of the art arena houses the largest play frame in the UK along with a host of other unique attractions that are second to none. Based in Manchester next to the Intu Trafford Centre and underneath the Chill Factore, Play Factore provides a complete day out for families shopping in the area and children eager for entertainment.
Very impressed with this play frame! Friendly staff, quick book in, lovely range of food/drinks on offer , clean & tidy... even the toilets where spotless which is hard work in a child’s play place! My two boys aged 11 & 7 has a fantastic time here. Would highly recommend including the VR room & Zip wire on to your day (each a little extra cost) Play factor we will see you again very soon, keep up the fab work!
