Glenelg Golf Club offers a true world class challenge, recognised as one of Australia’s premier golfing facilities. Distinct course complexity, strategic design elements and impeccable turf quality provide a memorable challenge for all players.Glenelg Golf Club offers outstanding membership privileges and opportunities, including a world class golf course, modern clubhouse with extensive bar and bistro facilities, and a challenging golf program for players of all levels.
I had heard that a dinner on Thursday night at the Glenelg Golf Club was a treat, so i organised a few of my mates to have a boys night out. Being mid week it is casual and with this being a members club, you notice the added community vibe of the members and they were very welcoming. We had a sensational table on the balcony where the views over the golf course with the city in the background were just magnificent. I had been to an event at the golf cub earlier in the year and the food had been excellent. Tonight was no different so there is a talented chef working out the back doing a great job. So my recommendation is to take an advantage of their wonderful facility and enjoy an evening out here and don't be concerned that it is a members golf club, the bistro staff and members will be pleased to welcome you.

The state library is a treasure trove of info. The Mortlock wing has to be seen to be believed. I cant help thinking that more people should visit. Its quiet and steeped in history.

Having arrived in McLaren Vale for our first time we paid a visit to the Information centre. The lady and gentleman behind the counter were very helpful from advising places to see and even the easiest place to drive to and park when catching the train into Adelaide. There are souvenirs for sale and various photos to see and they serve a good coffee.

Let our volunteer team assist you with brochures, maps and information on Hahndorf, the surrounding region and further afield. Find out about stories and information not online, use our free public access computer or free Wi-Fi. We can also book local accommodation, tours, SeaLink product offerings and National Park entry and camping. We have a small amount of merchandise for sale, some of which is exclusively made for you. We are located in the middle of the main street in the historic Hahndorf Academy building which we share with the museum, gallery and shop. We look forward to assisting you on your next visit to Hahndorf.
We popped in and were warmly greeted by one of 2 staff. She gave us a copy of the town map which included the heritage walk. Off to one side is a lovely gallery/ gift shop which then leads to the excellent museum detailing the early settlement years of Hahndorf and how it came to be named after a sea captain called Hahn who brought settlers over from Hamburg on a ship called the Zebra. One of the best and enjoyable small museums (and free) we've been to in a while. If you like baking biscuits, see the attached photo.

Don't tell the rest of the world of this beautiful building, a real rail way station with the friendliest staff assisting me a first timer to their fair City, walking along the tiles which slope from the road through the building to the ticket entry or to the fabulous Information Centre where an lovely staff male person assisted me with bus and railway timetables after advising the SA Bus Office wasn't open today. How nice is this. Really and truly when I walked out I had bus and tram timetables and looking around the wonderful fully restored gorgeous building it is located in please god they never modernise it...its a wonderful old building and South Australia and Adelaide in particular must be very proud of their unique Railway Station somewhere Architects and students would love to walk through I know I enjoyed my experience.
