The Alhambra citadel of Granada is one of the most famous buildings in Spain: a Moorish fortress with grand archways and delicate ornamental mosaics. Step backwards in time as you wind through the ascending cobblestone streets of Albayzin. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful views from the Mirador San Nicolas. Granada’s nightlife is vibrant and varied, thanks in part to its student population. Hit the bars of Calle Elvira or, for a quieter outing, the traditional tea rooms of La Calle de Las Teterias.

Never been to a convent before and was really glad we decided to visit. The Nuns are lovely people, they really want you to enjoy the tour. Only speak spanish but no problem to understand the most, if you remember your Historylessons from school. Wonderful to see how proud they are of their beautiful convent.

Galeria Alea is an art space, a gallery, a shop, an atelier of two artists, Eugen Badurina and Tim Adami, who promote local art though the idea of souvenirs which hare in an accessible price range. The art works are hand made; unique pieces or limited editions of a larger collection; some elegant and some provocative ones.
I was so happy to stumble upon Alea Galeria with just a few hours to spare on my trip to Granada! Ended up speaking with Roman, one of the artists at the shop, for a considerable amount of time. He was so friendly and gave my travel friend and I a bunch of local things to do in our last few hours. (My only regret is that we found him so late, that we could only squeeze in one or two of his recommendations) I like that he gave us truly local idea's for things to do (I am not into touristy stuff). Also, this is a great place to buy a unique and authentic Granada souvenir. I got a gorgeous gold plated bracelet that I am totally obsessed with. Also, the art prints at this spot are out of this world! I can't recommend enough! Thank you Alea Galeria!

We highly recommend the caves museum. It’s done nicely and you can clearly see how the gypsies lived. You get a 30 page folder in your language which guides you through the place. We liked it more than the Alhambra.

Cultural space in Granada about Inquisition. Visitors will enjoy the Inquisition exhibition with ancient instruments of torture, and wonderful views of the Alhambra. Spaces for events.
No nonsense, totally non-touristy, pure, neat, brilliant flamenco performance: one wonderful singer, one magical, virtuous guitarist, two marvelous dancers - a man and a woman - and a powerfully moving performance. Don’t miss it!

We came across this beautiful studio on our way to Sacromonte. They sell amazing handmade glass work and all is made by the husband and wife. We bought a beautiful glass magnate of Alhambra. The owner was very nice and helpful. It’s definitely worth the visit!

In 17th century Renaissance Palace of great architectural beauty, located at the foot of the majestic Alhambra of Granada, the PATIO DE LOS PERFUMES offers you a true olfactory and timeless immersion. Pleasantly located in the heart of the botanical square, Café Patio offers a moment of relaxation with a selection of teas and natural fresh juices. In the museum, discover the art of the manufacture of perfumes, ancient perfumery bottles, the most valuable and rarest ingredients from the four corners of the world, as well as the perfumer's secrets. Free admission.
I am always fascinated by perfume (and the lengths people go to in dexcribing them) and was delighted to find the Patio de los Perfumes in Granada. I took a perfume making session while there and am still delighted with the eperience and with the product I came home with. If you are a bit of a perfume obsessive it is well worth it. Many off-the-shelf perfumes cost a lot more to buy than one you can create here with expert and sympa help. The place itself is also amanzing and well worth a visit.
