Welcoming, tolerant Gran Canaria offers a little something for everyone. Families flock to the water parks and beaches of Puerto Rico. Those seeking peaceful escape scamper to Mogan's quiet fishing villages. Gay visitors crowd the bars, restaurants and beaches of Playa del Ingles. Urban attractions are on offer in Las Palmas. Three highways open up the island for those with a rental car or a bus schedule. Prime sites to visit include Iglesia de San Juan Bautista de Arucas and Palmalitos zoo park.

I had my second visit to El Salobre and really enjoyed it. I chose the two hour private ride which includes a massive 1km gallop. The team were so kind to me as a returning rider and checked if I wanted the same horse or a different one - I chose to ride lovely Luna again as she was so fun last time. Amanda took my ride out and she was brilliant, chatty and fun, and we had a great time! Thank you Amanda for being such a great guide and you’re welcome to visit me and my horse anytime in Scotland! Definitely a great way to see a different side of Gran Canaria and I would recommend the private hack for experienced riders - we did a lot more trotting and cantering than we did the last time I was there. It was beautiful watching the sun start to set from between Luna’s ears as well.
