As a lad brought up in the 50's and worked in the shearing sheds of many old homesteads the perfumes from the roses, flowers and the privet hedges, instantly take you back to bygone days, the vista when you walk through the gates is over whelming, take the guided tour or just walk around, the history grabs you, take your lunch or buy it on open days and sit back and enjoy, well worth a visit or two

The frame, is a great idea and the back drop to the spectacular Mt Arapiles. Worth a look if you are in the area. It does say that there are more frames around the Wimmera which we are yet to see!

Kyle Torney's street art, including the silos, have considerably enhanced the attractions offered in St. Arnaud. Many of the buildings now sport one of his works, and some of the local who are depicted are instantly recognisable. I was privileged to live next door to Kyle when I lived in St. Arnaud - he is a lovely, family-oriented, down-to-earth fellow who has been gifted with this amazing talent. Kyle, you will be famous pretty soon, I think!

Our Probus Club came here for morning tea first before having a great lecture and then a guided tour of the museum. Facinating place with so much history.

We went to this lookout late in the afternoon and there was fog ... it was hard to see the views, but even with the fog... it was easy to recognise that the views must be quite good. So... the next day, we headed back to see what we had missed. Even on an overcast Winter's Day ... the views are incredible. These are unrivalled views over the Halls Gap valley, Mt William range and the farmland plains to the east. Pan out to your right, you see the hanging rock formation perching on a cliff. As you look further, a lake hosts the serene waters surrounded by foggy hills. And how do you get to this lookout? From the scenic Halls Gap, the heart of the Grampians, take a 15-kilometre drive to Mount Difficult Road. Follow the sealed road until you reach the desired destination. It's less than 100 metres from the carpark to the viewing platform and even people with mobility issues should be able to view from here...as the path to the platform is quite good.

This is an impressive building and a historical church. Best of all is the lovely Reverend Susan, and the people who make up the congregation. Third Saturday of every month, the church members operate a Pop-Up shop in the church hall. This involves a great deal of work over several days. There are church members who bring their special skills to this enterprise, and you can see that love, care and talent in abundance goes into the shop. The shop sells good quality second hand clothing, bric a brac, books, jewellery, hats, bags, shoes, fabric, craft items, vintage articles. There is also a table of donated plant cuttings, fruit and vegetables that are free. Members of the congregation also provide morning tea, which is available for a donation. All the goodies in the shop are donated, so stock on the day is what has been gifted to the church, and all monies raised go to charities. The shop opens at 9 am to 12 md. Sales are in cash.

Erected in 1903 to commemorate the reign of the late Queen Victoria. features a band rotunda and clock. it was at the time thought to be the first memorial built for the queen in victoria. it's unique in that it has 3 different architectural styles; federation style base, art nouveau cast iron decorations and an edwardian baroque clock tower.. one of many pretty architectural gems in town
