If you're visiting Golden, this is a must do! Leo is so knowledgeable and a really lovely person, operating a beautiful tour in a great country setting. My boyfriend and I visited a few days ago and got a private tour and absolutely loved it! The bison are just spectacular to see and his love of them is clear - thankyou so much Leo! :)

Beautiful construction. You can tell it’s not an old bridge. But still a beautiful wooden covered bridge.

The plaza in the centre of town. A beautiful place where people gather next to the timber frame pedestrian bridge. There flowers, a fountain, farmers market, concerts and a little outdoor pub steps away.
A fine River side walk will take you to Spirit Square and the amazing Covered woodern Bridge and the adjoining walks make Spirit Square a must see in Golden. Listen to the samll water feature and smell the garden flowers or take a break in one of the adjoining patios and truly smell the coffee (or in my case taste a cold beer!).

Very difficult hike. If your a senior or have any disability hiking sticks a must. Round trip from the trailhead is close to 12 miles, on Syd’s trail. My GPS said we climbed 50 stories. Also parts of the trail was muddy and difficult to get thru while keeping your feet dry. The falls should really be called a gorge. The end of the hike leads you to a beautiful overlook of both the Rockies and the gorge. Took us close to 6 hours round trip, make sure you have mosquito repellent if you return late in the day
