Founded by 3 Broadway actors, Alpine Theatre Project brings actors direct from Broadway, film, and television to perform in musicals, plays, and concerts throughout the year. ATP artists have been in over 190 Broadway productions, and have won 5 Tony Awards, 7 Emmy Awards, 4 Golden Globe Awards, and 1 Academy Award.
After spending several winters on the ski hill at Whitefish MT,and taking in as many attractions offered, I found this unbelievable project. I saw an ad for Jesus Christ Superstar in the local paper. Not knowing anything about this project, I did some research & discovered that the performers are professionals who work on Broadway, etc but actually live here. And the theatre is state of the art with great seating & sound. I was absolutely thrilled with this performance. I had seen this production back in the 70’s & have seen about 15 top shows in NYC, London, Toronto, Edmonton & Vancouver over the years and this one was right up there with the best. Of course Mike Eldred, Eric Krop & Amelia Cormack were superb, but every last one of the performers were excellent. The musicians were top notch and the digital enhancements really gave me goose bumps! Even the volunteer who showed me to my seat came back at intermission to see if I was enjoying the show! The lady I was lucky to sit beside, was a long time Whitefish resident who personally knew the players, was a wealth of information & very friendly. The whole experience was awesome. Thank you Whitefish! Thank you Alpine Theatre people!

The MCT Center for the Performing Arts is home to the Missoula Community Theatre and the world's largest touring children's theatre, the Missoula Children's Theatre. MCT produces shows year-round and offers performing arts classes for kids. Our iconic Little Red Trucks are known for bringing theatre annually to 75,000 kids worldwide.
MCT stands for both Missoula Community Theatre and Missoula Children's Theatre. Participating in either provides great entertainment. The CHILDREN'S THEATRE provides theatre opportunities to children all over the world when it sends out teams of directors to cast and rehearse a musical with a production resulting in less than a week. The Children's Theater also gives local Missoula children lots of opportunities to work on their theatre skills during summer camps and performances to join during the school year. The Missoula COMMUNITY THEATRE produces outstanding entertainment - primarily musicals, but occasional non-musicals, too. Tickets are in great demand so make sure you call ahead if you didn't purchase in advance. Missoula is fortunate to have this professional organization in the community.

The Roxy Theater is a non-profit arthouse theater dedicated to bringing Missoula the finest in new and classic films and intimate live events. Bringing the world to our town, we stand for community and connectivity. Our two main cinemas present weekly screenings of new and classic films from around the world. Our third stage supports live music, theater, comedy, dance and cultural events.
If I want to go to a movie in Missoula, I check the Roxy's schedule first. They run independent movies plus classics, and they also have a variety of other shows such as standup comedy, and live screenings of theater and opera. I gave up movie theater popcorn many, many years ago because of the artificial flavoring and excess salt. At the Roxy, you get your popcorn with butter or salt or plain and it's in a metal bowl. You also can have beer, wine, or other beverages with your popcorn, and they recycle your cans. They have a wonderful ArtDeco decor, lovely neon sign outside, friendly volunteer staff, and recently replaced their old seats with comfy ones with cupholders.
