Belgium's fourth-largest - and most beautiful - city is home to a quarter of a million people and a flourishing flower export trade. An important port, Ghent's city center is a pedestrian area that is like a museum to early Flemish architecture and a testament to the city's medieval might. Impressive Gothic sites, such as dramatic St. Bavo's Cathedral and the Castle of the Counts, inspire awe. The works of Flemish masters are housed in the distinguished Museum voor Schone Kunst.

When exploring Ghent this may be the one venues you really need to visit if you are into board games or comics, or everything related to both! Situated in a medieval-like cellar in the center of town, this bar/store has it all! For everyone who is into gaming or comics visiting this store could be considered as a must! An enormous collection of comics and manga's that is situated in 3 different "vaults", as the staff likes to call these 3 rooms situated at the side of the main room. In the main room you can find the counter/bar area but situated here are also the displays with all the new comics and at the opposite end of the room is the store area for their large collection of board games, card games, miniature games and role play. The store also has around 10 alcoves that are at the disposal of the clients to play one of the board games, you can loan for free, from behind the bar, play a game they have brought with them or just sit down to have a drink and enjoy the view of the water and the different boats and rafts passing by. There is also a possiblity to make a reservation for one of the tables. This is recommended as this is a popular place for people who are into gaming and the tables tend to fill up quickly due to the fact that most board game clubs and other clubs from Ghent like to play there and because weekends are always busy. It is also the place to be if you want to come into contact with one of the local clubs because most of them come together at the store on a regular basis. The owners also support the local communities by organising activities like tournaments, painting sessions, leagues, comic-related meet-and-greets and much more. They are also a great source to discover something new as they are always willing to give you advice about everything related to games and comics if you have questions. And you always have a chance of finding that rare or hard to find game, comic or manga that you has been on your list for ages and often at very sharp prices. So if you are in Ghent and you want to visit a unique store/board game bar or if you are looking for a hard to find comic, manga, board game or any other related product or if you just want to drink something and relax a bit, be sure to pass by in this amazing place.
