Henry gave us a great tour of Phillip Island, aided by some beautiful weather (thanks melbourne). He was a very knowledgeable guide and just a great guy to have to spend the tour with. We had a close family friend who warned us from doing a trip down to Phillip Island. They hated it. But the more I read up on the island, the more I realised that most other people that had visited the island, overwhelmingly had a positive experience. But now I understand why my friend hated it. They took a bus tour and when we compared notes on our tour, they described the places they stopped. Well they only visited 3 stops. We visited about 10 different locations and half of them were definitely not on the tourist map as we were the only ones there. But to be honest, these were my favourite stops. They were well away from the tourist buses and in fact probably not accessible to the buses as we went down some narrow roads. But the wildlife there was out of this world. So look, if you are going to to Phillip island at all, find out where you will be taken. How much value for money are you getting. Are the tickets included. Is there an advantage to taking a private tour. How well does your group mix with other people you have never met. Do you want to go and your own pace or happy to go at the pace set by the rest of the group. Do you want to be picked up from your hotel doorstep or are you happy to jump on a tram to meet the bus tour. Obviously these are not questions my friends asked before she booked her tour. So really, do your research people or you will just end up on a tour that isn’t right for you. There are lots of options so nobody out there should be licking the wrong tour for them.unless you are a lazy click and book person like my friend!

Kanga Road tours is probably one of the most amazing, well-run companies I have come across in Australia, and I could not be any happier. Right from the start, I have had an amazing experience with Jolanta, who helped book my mum and myself on to this tour, and sent a reminder email of the meeting time, and place the day before. Starting early, we met Kris our guide, and set off with our small, intimate group of 4. As it was a small group, we were able to be flexible with our itinerary, and actually got hit more stops than on the itinerary. The day was well paced, with plenty of time to walk around, take photos, grab a bite to eat, but we packed a lot in. Kris is a wealth of information on just about anything. We thoroughly enjoyed his ongoing commentary throughout the trip on history, nature, interesting anecdotes, and dad jokes! A passionate guide who clearly knows his stuff, and loves what he does! I especially loved that we visited places less 'touristy' such as The Narana Aboriginal Centre, Apollo bay, and Port Campbell in addition to the idyllic natural structures promised on the Great Ocean Drive. Overall, a perfectly wonderful day, with a wonderful group. I highly recommend Kanga Road Tours!

We had a tour with this company scheduled last March, 2020 just when the Covid-19 was starting to affect travel. As a result, we had to cancel our flights from the US and all our vacation bookings in Australia. Australian National Touring, not only allowed us to cancel at short notice, but gave us a full refund back to our credit card. Thank You [email protected]

It was a lovely weekend activity to do with friends, would highly recommend! Allison had the route all mapped out, we simply rode around the beautiful Mornington Peninsula to some great wineries and a had lunch at a lovely little bakery.
This intimate tour, specially designed for couples and friends, will take you to three of The Bellarine Peninsula’s most notable wineries; Oakdene Vineyard, Scotchman’s Hill Winery & Jack Rabbit Vineyard. You’ll begin with private tastings, lead by the Cellar Door Managers, at both Oakdene & Scotchman’s Hill. During these two hours, you will not only have the opportunity to sample their premium wines, but you will also learn, in-depth, just how each wine was created. Although Shiraz, Pinot Noir & Chardonnay are the flagship varietals of the region, there are many more to experience. You will then move on from the Tastings to a two hour, two-course indulgence, including entrée & main, with matched wines at Jack Rabbit Estate Restaurant.

Elvin made me very comfortable on a personalised Geelong tour, he has extensive local knowledge and is a great guide. I could have spent the whole tour at the Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which has a range of works for sale at the gift shop and Art Gallery. Enjoyed a tasty breakfast, prepared by friendly staff, surrounded by native birds and landscape. Walking around the Centre was reinvigorating, and included encounters with kangaroos etc. I would like to join the Cultural Education session next time. Jirrahlinga Koala & Wildlife Sanctuary is an animal refuge that operates as a small zoo, which does its best considering it seems not government funded. Thanks for looking after me so well Elvin, and the great conversations!
