Voted CAMRA Pub of the Year 2020 for Gateshead. Located on the south side of the River Tyne in Gateshead at the end of the Tyne and High-Level Bridges, Station East is a quirky space incorporating beautiful natural stonework that had previously been hidden for many years, and brings into use railway arches at the back of the pub. Stonework and steel give a natural, unpretentious industrial feel creating an atmospheric setting and drinks space, with a wide selection of real ales and craft beers to be enjoyed. There are regular events throughout the week including the pub quiz, live music and comedy nights.
We popped in here for a quick drink on the way somewhere and I wish we hadn’t been in a rush as I can happily imagine spending several hours in this lovely pub. We’ll be back,
