The sun rises just a bit more beautifully in Gangneung, particularly in nearby Jeongdongjin, where watching the dawn break on the South Korean horizon is an epic experience and a national New Year's pastime. The beaches and museums are splendid, and Gangneung’s unique parks are worthy of exploration. Kids will be awed by the submarine and warship at Tongil Park, while adults will go nuts for the dramatic architecture and contemporary works of Haslla Art World.

This 2.8 km walk along the rocky coast can be enjoyed by most and not just the super fit. Do start from the Jeongdong end at the Sun Cruise resort as advised by a tripadvisor reviewer as it's easier to go down the higher steeper stairs here. Try not to be nervous when treading on iron grill steps and boardwalk. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk despite the effort of going up and down stairs in several parts. Although visitors are not supposed to take photos along the walk, many of us tend to forget without any problem fortunately. Upon reaching Simgok, we spotted a waiting cab and hopped into it to head for Chodang Village to have our sundubu lunch.

We will sail together on my 28-foot yacht and explore beautiful Gangneung. You'll have the opportunity to swim, tan, and snorkel with your own gear. There is no shark or crocodile in God blessing. You'll enjoy simple snacks and drinks. You can also use the Bluetooth amplifier to enjoy your favorite music. We'll take in breathtaking views of the sea from Gyeongpo Beach and Daegwallyeong.

388/5000 view of gyeongpo beach in mid-december 2019. The beach is very beautiful for children to play even though the cold wind blows very hard and big waves. the cold experience while walking paid off with a visit to a very large number of seafood restaurants at affordable prices. about 50% cheaper compared to the same menu at the hotel we stayed.

This beach was very clean and the sand is soft. The water is a bit rough so be careful if you swim. This beach is famous for all the coffee shops along the beach with great views of the ocean.

I spent two months here on business for the olympics 2018 the coffee shops are fantastic. One in particular is the red/black Italian chain. The staff were very happy to engage and interpret and converse....my word they are great

East Cost Beach of South Korea is a wonderful blue beach colour. its very diffrent with west coast beach. If you have time, you must visit some beach at east side. It will takes more than 3 hours from Seoul. So i suggest you must stay overnight at Sokcho . Donghae side

Situated in Yeongok-myeon (Dongdeok-ri), this spacious beach (56,000m2) stretches over 700m. Surrounded by a lush pine forest, this beach is ideal for camping. Fishing lovers can enjoy catching sweetfish at Yeongokcheon Stream flowing from Sogeumgang (Sogeum River); there are a variety of restaurants offering delicious Korean food along the stream as well. Dongdeok-ri used to be home to a railway
