In the heart of Texas Hill Country, Fredericksburg is a small city with a unique German flavor in its quaint bakeries, Hauptstrasse (Main Street) boutiques and generations-old peach orchards. Weekenders from nearby San Antonio and Austin have long appreciated the charm of the city's many B&Bs and "Sunday House" Inns. The surrounding Texas Hill Country is home to lush vineyards, making up one of the country's largest viticultural areas.

Just stumbled in here as we were walking by on Main Street and now this could be the reason for coming back next time. The store is filled with gourmet foods and samples. It has a large selection of very unique flavors and is a good stop to shop and explore. My favorite is the raspberry flavored peanut butter.

We received a friendly welcome when we walked into the store on Friday morning, March 5, 2021. Tim Martinez was the exceptional staff member who answered our questions and provided us with a wealth of information. We were offered a sample of the booze liquid filled chocolate. We purchased a variety of chocolate and are very pleased with the taste and variety.

Dooley's reminded me of the F. W. Woolworth Five and Dime of the '50s. It has a little bit of everything: souvenirs, kitchen gadgets, fabrics and notions, clothing, toys, candy, etc. There were many items you can't easily buy anymore - a great treasure trove of stuff!

Doesn't look too big from the outside, but you walk in and to your right starts the whole Christmas thing - ornaments, villages new and retired, hand lotions, tee's lots more than just Christmas. I found a hard to find glass "to go" mug with drinking cover. I do a lot of herbal oils, and they eat up plastic mugs. Hubby and wandered from room to room. I wish we had more time to spend there, could have gotten gifts for everyone!
