Fond du Lac is a city in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States. The name is French for Bottom of the Lake, named as such because of its location at the bottom (south end) of Lake Winnebago. The population was 43,021 at the 2010 census.

Galloway House and Village has served to connect us Fond du Lac County's people and stories since 1954. Nestled on 15 acres in the City of Fond du Lac, visitors receive a guided tour of the Galloway House, owned by 3 generations by the Galloway family, and are able to explore the rest of the site at their own pace. The Blakely Museum also resides at the village, which houses artifacts from the pre-historic to 1990's. The Thornton Research Library is also open during select hours for genealogical and historic research. This beautiful historic village is owned and operated by the Fond du Lac County Historical Society.
