New York’s Finger Lakes region takes its name from 11 freshwater lakes placed like a handprint between Lake Ontario and the Pennsylvania border. Skiing, hiking and biking trails traverse the landscape; visitors can also indulge in various wine, cheese and beer trails. The area offers a culinary bounty, with an emphasis on farm-to-table cuisine. Rich history and culture are found throughout the region, with one attraction more inviting than the next.

Popular with bicyclists, roller-bladers, joggers and walkers, this scenic trail stretches thirteen miles along the Genesee River.
Lovely parkland and paths leading to a very nicely maintained very long boardwalk. We saw birds, large fish, swans, squirrels. Boats and a paddle steamer came by. Perfect with kids or for a fresh long walk.

A lovely walk through the woods, complete with the sight and sound of running water from the stream next to the trail. Not too long to walk, straight path, and easy to traverse. An easy walk for someone who wants to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Loved this hike so much that I chose it for my proposal when I decided to get engaged. We have done the hike in the summer when the river was dry and were able to hike up the river bed and waterfalls using ropes. The overlook area has an amazing view of the sunset. It is a difficult trek to the waterfall near the end of the hike but so worth it. Since it is difficult to get to you will have some privacy to enjoy the waterfall and scenery before heading back down the trail. Great hike!

Six miles of hiking trails traverse over 182 acres of hardwood forests and meadows with ponds, streams, overlooks and wildlife. The nature center offers year-round public programs and community events, day camps for kids, rental facilities, school field trips, an art gallery, snowshoe rentals, and much more. As a private, non-profit organization, Baltimore Woods Nature Center is open to the public with no daily admission or parking fees. Memberships are also available, allowing visitors reduced program fees, free use of snowshoes, and registration for day camps. The Interpretive Center is open Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm, and Saturdays from 10am-4pm.
Nice interpretive center, picnic areas and lots of benches along multiple trails to just sit and be in the moment.
