Fayetteville is the third-largest city in Arkansas and county seat of Washington County. The city is centrally located within the county and has been home of the University of Arkansas since the institution's founding in 1871. Fayetteville is on the outskirts of the Boston Mountains, deep within the Ozarks. Known as Washington until 1829, the city was named after Fayetteville, Tennessee, from which many of the settlers had come. It was incorporated on November 3, 1836 and was rechartered in 1867. The four-county Northwest Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area is ranked 105th in terms of population in the United States with 463,204 in 2010 according to the United States Census Bureau. The city had a population of 73,580 at the 2010 Census. At 1,400 feet of elevation, it is also one of the highest major US cities between the western Great Plains and the Appalachian Mountains.

This is a wonderful place to visit if you are at all interested in history and appreciate the aesthetics of all of the pretty white headstones neatly lined up, rows and rows and go on and on. It’s a really cool site to see and the additional information to read along the way brings some of its history to life.

This stadium is better than many minor league parks. There are regular crowds of 8K+ fans calling the hogs. It is a family friendly place but watch out for the outfield where the fans harass the opposing teams outfielders. It is very entertaining to listen. This stadium is fan-based and fans are engaged in play from beginning to end of game. Plus the University of Arkansas baseball team is always ranked in the top!

I am glad that this cemetery has respectfully maintained our American history. It is a slippery slope to remove Confederate statues and history. It is part of our history and important to remember. Not black or white but American History with all of its warts.

This is a great side trip if you are at the square for the Farmers Market or some other event. It takes wonderful pictures. I have photographed several couples in front of it, and it is always a favorite out of the photo shoot!

We were in town for a funeral and stayed at a hotel right on the square. We really enjoyed walking around to see all of the beautiful holiday lights & check out the food trucks. The lights really made our photos fantastic!

A friend and I went with my uncle and had so much fun! The stadium is easy to get around and concessions are always close.

IG: LLTRAVELMEL, The owners were so kind to squeeze us in for 15 minutes even though they had a wedding to prepare for! This is such a gorgeous property, I can totally see why they hold so many small weddings. The gorgeous little church with the backdrop of trees and creek across the way, wow!

We love welcoming guests from all over the world to the first home of Bill and Hillary Clinton and where they were married. The Museum is situated in the beautiful Ozark Mountains in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This home has a special place in local, national, and international history. Bill Clinton took Hillary Rodham's hand in marriage 17 years before he would be elected President. The home's series of owners also have deep roots in local Arkansas history. The museum houses memorabilia of Clinton's early political career, including his campaigns for US House of Representatives and Arkansas Attorney General. Temporary and timely exhibits cover the history of Secretary Clinton's life in public service and her time in Arkansas. The collections include a faithful replica of Hillary's wedding dress and a timeline of the Clinton years in Fayetteville. Our museum store has books related to the Clinton legacy, Arkansas history, Arkansas politics, and the culture of the Ozarks. We also have mementos, gifts, and more for a keepsake of your visit. The Museum is open to the public and donations are welcome.
This modest Tudor style home in Fayetteville Arkansas was not only The Clinton's first marital home but also the site of there wedding. Their first jobs were as professors at the University of Arkansas Law School. The house is in essentially the same shape as when the Clintons lived in it - altho no furniture remains. Our guide was very knowlegable. An added attraction is a "First Ladies Garden" in the rear of the house which purports to grow an example aof each first ladies favorite flower. Nice!
