Mount Sherman

Reviewed By MrsButterfield - Denver, United States

I did this as my first 14er last year and I think it'd a great first one to do; I think it was even easier than Mt. Bierstadt. It took us a little less than 3 hours to get up to the top and then only 1.5 hours to get down. The parking lot can get crowded so if you come here on a nice, summer day then be sure to get there before 6:00 a.m. otherwise it's going to be so busy.

Weekday visit during fall during the hours of sunset. Beautiful drive and beautiful views! We approached parking lot and saw we could drive off-road and check out campsites. We came across a beautiful open space with the view of the mountain with all the colors of fall from the Aspens. Although many of the trees have dropped leaves from cold weather. There are many trails to walk but we were here for a quick excursion. Drive back toward Denver with the sun setting. Worth the drive!
