Travel with M/S Viking XPRS for a day cruise to Helsinki. Enjoy what the ferry has to offer at your leisure and have a fun day in beautiful Helsinki. Depart from Tallinn in the morning (8 am) and return in the evening (Mo-Sat 9.30/Sun 8 pm). During summertime an additional departure in the afternoon for a nice evening cruise to Helsinki.
We have been many times onboard Viking XPRS but there has never been so quiet. It was easy to keep the distances during boarding, voyage, and disembarkation. We had buffet meals in both ways. At the brunch buffet, there were probably 20 passengers in the big restaurant. On our way back, there were double that but the restaurant was still quite empty. The buffet was handled very well. Everyone had a clean food grip for the cold food or the food was pre-dosed in small bowls. The chef behind the counter gave warm food as one desired. The food was very tasty. The waiters were very polite.

We made an 11-hour day cruise from Helsinki to Tallinn. Victoria is a 2004-built ship which has sailed her whole career from Tallinn to Stockholm. Because of the corona pandemic, it was moved to the Helsinki-Tallinn route. We booked our cruise with Club One points. The suite was 32.200 points plus 16 euros. With money, it would have been 160 euros. We got suite #9101 which is the best of the seven suites. All suites are located at the bow. Four are corner suites on decks 8 and 9. Three suites are located in the middle on deck 9. #9101 is the midmost. Two years ago, we sailed from Tallinn to Stockholm and were in the corner suite on deck 8. #9101 felt more spacious because the living and bedrooms are combined. Cabin minibar is included in the price of the suite and deluxe cabins. Suites have also a fruit basket. Breakfast was not included because it was a day cruise departing at 9:30 in the morning. You had five hours in Tallinn 12:00-17:00. Although Victoria is already 16 years old, it felt very modern. There have been renovations in the cabins and the public areas. We had dinner at Grill House on the way back. It was a pleasant experience with the best service you can imagine. The entertainment was quite limited compared to what we saw onboard Baltic Queen and Silja Serenade.
